last year at Reading I was pleasantly surprised with the proper porcelain loos in the main arena; though at times it was difficult to get in the wc area as ppl got silly and qued in the front ones creating a bottleneck and leaving the back ones totally empty, they loos were generaly clean, flushed properly and i was able to do my business with comfort

Are there loos like that at download or should i brace myself for the horror of the long-drops?

They had them at Download in 07, awful awful awful, you can see evryone else doing their business, and the smell(!) ikk!

Went GIAN and V in 07, GIAN was indoor and V had normal portaloos... so I've missed them every time me thinks

Last year they had some "Posh Loos" which you paid extra for.

My daughters going with mates and she says she's getting a "season ticket" type of thing for them, I think she said they were about £15 for the weekend.

in the festie village i think (although don't quote me on that..)

according to their website, the prices are as follows:

3 plop pounds (i.e. 3 trips for different people to use): £6

7 brown crowns (i.e. 7 trips for different people to use): £12.00

weekend wristband (unlimited uses but only for for one person): £13.50

thanks lady! i'll have a looksy when we get there but as i'm being told that it's muddy already i think 13.50 is a very small price to pay for a comfy crap... (good god i'm getting old!)

haha yea i guess so but i have a (probably unhealthy) finely tuned talent of not, ahem, 'going' whilst at festies.. dunno whether it's the smell or the fact i live off a liquid diet, but still both seem to contribute to the cause!!

after all that and spending £6 to get 3 visits, i didn't bloody need to 'go' all weekend (i still haven't, which is worrying me a bit!)

I too was impressed, I never got a grotty one and sometimes they even had toilet roll in them! Impressive!
