Camping Essentials,

Heey Everyone,

As this will be my first Glastonbury (if we successfuly get tickets), and first year camping at a festival could someone give me an insite into what to take, perhaps specify it to two 16 year old males and maybe consider luggage as we'll be going down on the train ,

Ignor the basics like a tent, tickets, sleeping bag, clothes etc as most of them are pretty obvious. Just like toiletries and any other "essentials".

I could use this as a sort of check list from now until the Wednesday we leave, appologies if there has been numerous threads on this before.

Thanks,

Rhys

1) Baby wipes - a big pack of them for keeping sweatiness to a minimum and also for a quick bog-seat wipe if you need a number 2.

2) Spare phone battery, wind-up charger or spare phone.

3) Wellies

4) Waterproof coat & trousers

5) Thick socks to wear with wellies

6) Sunglasses

7) Hat

8) Sun cream

9) Poncho

10) Torch (small wind-up one is best) so you don't fall over everyone guy ropes!

All of these can be bought on site but with the exception of ponchos (you can pick up cheap emergency ones that'll last a day or two), everything will be over priced and if it rains hard, the wellies will rocket in price. So best to bring these things with you. Use a big ruck sack and stick the wellies down the elastic thing at the front.
