I second the (non-Value) Tesco rucksack, I got one last year for about £20 and it was a bargain. Thick hardwearing fabric, waterproof cover, adjustable back position and less than half the price of a comparable sized rucksack from a camping/sports goods store.

I have one like this: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/part...%3ERUCKSACK.htm

It is actually an older version of that one and has lasted me for 2007, 2008 and will for 2009 too. It isn't the most comfortable (although that may be more to do with my back problems), but it does the job well and as someone said above, if you are only using it for Glastonbury, a cheap one like that will be fine! I think a cheap rucksack is fine for Glastonbury but if you want to go backpacking round the world after, you may consider a more expensive one! <_<
