Hexamine cookers

Hey guys, i'm planning on gonig to leeds for the first time this year and was planning on taking a gas stove to cook some food on but gas is banned this year.

Aparently the only decent alternative is those hexamine (solid fuel) stoves http://www.surplusandadventure.com/shop/su...uct-310462.html

Has anyone used them before? Are they worth getting? And what kind of food can do you do on them?

As there is no info saying gas canisters are banned on leeds website presume the ban only applies for Reading. So looks as as if you can take a gas stove

you can take gas canisters to leeds its reading you cant. well done with the research though!
