Van hire

Hi, there are now 30 of us going as a group so we have hired a van to take all our stuff down, we normally do this at all the festivals we attend but are glasto virgins, there's nothing against bringing a small van into the car park is there? Maybe should have checked this first!

no, you'll be sheparded to the vans field (so security can check there's no-one sleeping in them without walking through all the car parks), but that was right near a gate in '07 (last time i took a van) and easy to get out. took us about 1h30 when others were taking 6 or 7 hours just to get off site.

edit: not you specifically, but don't bring people in the back of a van unless it has proper seats for obvious reasons.

no problem. some people at my girlfriend at the time's 6th-form died going to glastonbury in the back of a van. they hit the central reservation on the M1, the van spun and they went out the back doors. two died.

so a word to anyone reading this who's thinking about it, just don't bother, aside from the fact that you won't be allowed into the car parks.
