Yeah, I got that reply in November, but by the time I received it, I'd already visited and bumped into Mr E himself. He and all on the farm were super friendly. I think they just want to avoid huge swarms of people just turning up and not respecting the farm.

Just got last minute tickets for tonight via Amazon Deck seats, after Kendrick blew me away at the Grammys. Anyone have any experience with these seats, mixed reviews online and very little info. Would have loved standing but this was the best available.
Can't wait!

June 2017.
Ha, I did mean to include a next to that statement!

We visited the site on Friday afternoon. It was a glorious sunny day but the site itself was very wet and muddy (when is it not eh?)
As we exited the site through the farm and via St Mary's gate, we had a certain Mr Eavis pass us by in his red truck, giving friendly waves and hello's as he passed. Made my day!
We did try to contact the festival earlier in the week but only got a response today stating the following:
QuoteThe public footpaths that pass through the north end of the site are open, so it is possible to walk on these paths, however as you will see from the map attached, the public footpaths (highlighted green) do not extend to the majority of the Festival site. For the avoidance of doubt, there is no public access to the Pyramid arena, Kidz Field or Green Fields.
If you do go for a walk on the public footpaths please ensure that you stick to the public paths (which do not include the stone tracks across the Festival site), close any gates you open behind you, keep dogs on leads, do not to disturb the animals and please do not enter the Farm Yard or the rest of the Festival site, which are private property. For your own safety, please do not climb on any structures.
Lastly, we ask that anyone using the public footpaths during the fallow year respect that the Farm and Festival site are private property, and therefore we request that if you do go for a walk on the public footpaths, you please refrain from sharing pictures of the Farm or Festival site on social media, as doing so may lead others to believe the site is open to the public, which it is not.
We did walk past a few people working on site who were friendly and welcoming, so maybe they're just trying to prevent too many people from visiting what is in reality a fulltime working farm.

Arcade Fire Tube has the whole of last nights set up now...

2 looped playbacks of the albums later and I'm already singing away to every track. This band can't do much wrong in my book!
-
I agree that Peter Pan and Chemistry are probably two of the weakest tracks AF have produced, but they're not worst songs ever by any stretch of the imagination. I just think we've just been spoilt in the past and these just feel like filler tracks in comparison to the rest of the album.
April 2018 feels like a lifetime away, hate having to wait that long to see them again!

Heads up - just got our extra 3 tickets for Wembley so extras are continuing to go on sale.
-
Got 4 standing for Wembley - actually refreshed the page with about 30secs of the countdown left and it took me straight in.
Friends trying for 3 more didn't have any luck so will be back for the Livenation sale tomorrow. -
Incredible gig tonight. My 10th show of theirs and the setlist and venue has never been better in my opinion. Totally buzzing! Was sweaty as hell in the venue, although that may be down to the dancing from myself and the Mrs! Everything Now and Creature Comforts are stunning live, up there with their best I'd say!
Enjoy those going tomorrow or in Manchester, greatest band on the planet at the moment I'd say!

Could always ask him on Twitter @StanleyDonwood He does have a shop of his website. But above doesn't appear to be on sale.
It's now available - £275, but I'm pretty sure the couple in question will appreciate it.

Looks like the official shirts are already on sale via the website:

Anyone know where the Stanley Donwood official artwork (see below) is sold in print form? Our friends who we came with this year are getting married next week and it would make a great wedding present.

Nearly in now - 1.5 hours but queue behind is significantly shorter now. 45mins top I'd say.
-
Pretty big zigzag queue for gate A from car parks despite being told by stewards there weren't any. Moving fairly quick though so hopefully no longer than an hour wait.

That 2005 flood looks fucking horrendous. I couldn't watch all of that. Poor buggers tents submerged. I presume the drainage is much much better now to prevent that happening again.
A river running through a tent is probably enough to break many a person!
Yep, we unfortunately returned home from the festival around mid afternoon that Friday having not seen a single band. The girl I was seeing at the time also woke up that morning with mumps so I think the gods were against us that year!

The silver tent in the above picture was mine. *shudders*

Came across this video this morning (apologies if it’s been posted before). Obviously tragic Keith is no longer with us, but also heartbreaking that Prodigy won’t be playing Glastonbury this year.
