  1. We tend to arrive about 10.30/11am on the Wednesday morning and usually walk straight in. Sure you'll be fine at 5pm, although I'd assume there'd be a few more people arriving in the evening if they've had to work that day.

  2. I too am concerned by the new album heavy setlists but will be there hoping for lots of classics. Would be a perfect start to the Friday to hear 'Laid' played live!

  3. I'm with the OP regarding thoughts on this years lineup. Am a fan of bands like Foals, Muse, etc but have seen them so many times (including at Glastonbury) there's little special or unique about this year. Beck, Grimes and LCD Soundsystem are my only must see acts so Sunday night is going to have mad dashes between the Pyramid, Park and Other stages.

Still, we all know there's more to the festival than the bands so I know I'll have a great time nonetheless. Plus, discovering something previously unknown to me is always nice.

    6.5/10

  4. Hey there gorgeous people!

I was wondering if you guys could recommend some DJs (on the lineup) or bars worth checking out that play more mashup/remixes of well known tracks, such as Avalanches, 2manydjs and Girl Talk. This year, we're taking a group of 6 glasto virgins with us who all have hugely varied tastes in music so something like this could be ideal.

    Thanks in advance!

  5. Noticed a few sets of longdrops have appeared this morning (near park and oxlyers) - site is certainly underway now. Never been this excited about toilets before!

what did you have to click to get to that link btw? when i click on the Amsterdam bit on the Waste site it doesn't give me any kind of link to buy tickets - just says they'll be on sale at 9am

    I'm getting 4 links with

    ON SALE NOW

Each takes me to a separate virtual event queue.

i just did that and got straight through. fuck i hope its that easy for London

Looks like once someone knows the sandbag tickets event code for each evening, shouldn't have too much trouble getting through. Fingers crossed!

I've seen them (at one of the early Summer Sundaes), but I'm not sure that they've ever played Glastonbury, have they?

They headlined the Other stage on the Sunday in 2002 I believe. Can't say I remember being anything but disappointed by them live sadly.

  9. Muse are playing the Garorock festival on the Thursday 30th June according to that website. Shows that they're not far away (France) in the week after Glastonbury.

Not sure if its been mentioned yet but NOS in Lisbon looks very very good this year, surprised Arcade Fire are playing shows too. Presumably not with a new album?

Is it worth going? Not sure if anyone on here has actually been before, would love to hear from people if they have.

I went to NOS last year and having just seen the latest announcement, seriously considering it this year too despite going to Glastonbury also.

It's a totally different vibe to Glastonbury of course. Lots of corporate booths and advertising everywhere but we still enjoyed ourselves. The site is basically a concrete/tarmac parking lot divided into areas but the view and sound from the main stage is pretty fantastic. Other than the night Muse played (which was unbelievably packed), we found plenty of space to watch bands either in the tents or the main stage. Beer was mostly Heineken at 5euros a pint (I think) but we found a great stall selling half a bottle of red wine for 5euros.

  11. Fucking hell - Went last year and had a great time but with having Glastonbury tickets, wasnt planning on an international festival until Arcade Fire was announced. Amazing lineup so far!

Frantically looking for flights and hotels as we speak. Going to be a great few weeks but tough on the old liver. Also need to find a dog sitter!

  12. I discovered something interesting yesterday... as a result of the seetickets bypass hack that a few people used in 2012, I realised the local hosts on my mac still had this "194.168.131.174 glastonbury.seetickets.com" added to it which prevented me even seeing the 'glastonbury.seetickets.com' page or the holding page.

Once I removed this, the page loaded no problem. This has prevented me getting tickets the last few years (although the wife got them on her laptop in 2013). I wonder how many people still have this added to their hosts (hopefully I'm just the one off).

Thankfully manage to get 12 tickets out of the 15 trying for them this year. The last 3 we're hopeful for in the resale.

  13. Not 100% but I think they all depart from the same place - and that the last few years this has been the O2 Arena Car Park.

And you only get to choose the day - times are allocated / dicatated to you after the event and could be as early as 6am or as late as 6pm

    Brill, thanks!

Does anyone know how much roughly the National Express coaches are and when these can be booked from?
