I hope you both don't mind me 'borrowing' these pics, but they make utterly fucking amazing dual screen wallpapers! Thank you both so very much! x

Very  happy for you to use it

Its just to the right as you walk in gate c. gives a cracking view across the site especially when its dark.

In the past its had flames shooting from it for a short time around 11pm i think.

Thank you. I’ve been there just never knew that’s what it’s called.

    2007!

Thankfully that's the only one I've missed from 2005. My mates who went struggled that year and the TV footage looked hard.

I had a weekend in Bilbao in February and it rained from the second we got of the plane for 3 days solid with no let up.

We stayed in a hotel and spent loads of time in bars and it was still grim to be rained on all the time!

  4. As others have said I can cope with Mud. (Don't want it but can cope)

I can also cope with showers during the festival (don't want those either!)

Were I start to struggle is consistent rain beating down for hours. That's soul destroying.

As long as there is a good amount of warm, sunny weather during the festival I'll take the ground as i need to.

That saying 2016 broke my wife who vows she will never return!

Yes it seemed an ethical thing to do as I know they are at risk of overrunning(or should that be overswimming) some other species.

Don't think we ever get one. I have been a big advocate of getting a food line up as well but that's one of the things we usually do on Wednesday. We try and walk around the whole site to see what has changed. Most tend to stay in the same area so much like a town or city that you visit infrequently you notice the changes.

i do the same but with so many new places (or ones i've missed) i'd love a sneaky review before i get there. Would aid the obsessional excitment and general over thinking!

There's been a crayfish place near Williams Green for a few years as well. Can't tell you any more about it as I'm veggie so didn't look any further just thought it was quite a niche food item.

does anyone have a map of food vendors yet?

  7. Taking two Glasto virgins this year so want to give them the full experience. Trying for as many stages and bars as possible.

Crows neat for me is is a must as it’s been since it arrived.

See the new areas and a sunrise is top

Plan to try and see a set in the acoustic tent - not got there in 10 festivals so far.

As there are fewer headliners on the main stages I really want to see will probably check out the smaller stages in Greenfields, Croissant Neuf and Greenpeace between 10 and 12 each night - be interesting to see what is going on there while the masses are at the main stages

Green peace stage at that time is great. As are the other smaller stages in the area. I sat there with my 13 year old on a blow up seat with a blanket and I had a few beers. A night she brings up all the time

I thought TF was nearer Gate B than Gate A?

TG is by Gate B and not Gate A.

I think its a little further than 10 minutes to the gate @Nobody Interesting as it very much depends on where your tent is positioned on the TG site.

I've stayed a couple of times and it feels longer. Getting out of Gate B at the end of the night can be annoying if its very busy and the walk back from the SE corner is pleasant until you get to muddy lane then its all up!

    Don't lose your ticket!

Proximity to the car is as NI said and you can come and go but it isnt an easy process getting out of the car park then back in. I'd suggest contacting them before and explaining the circumstance

They have a gap in there tour but they are all in other bands / side projects too. Jack White seems to love the festival and has performed under all his various titles as well as hung around to watch other artists. I reckon they could be on the final poster for sure.

would be delighted if it happens

  12. i've taken both my daughters before they turned 13 and accept that it does change your festival experience.

It is still the best experiences i've ever had with them. It's time for us to hang out and just spend time together away from work or calls or stuff that takes us away from each other in normal life.

I would recomend that you do it, its a game changer!
