Also, I'm glad that IICON will 'never' become somewhere just to stick the big, popular names. As you imply, that's not what Block9 is about at all, and thank goodness for that. Man, do I want that Block9 drop now!!! Ben
-
You had me at "One major Detroit legend..." 😄 Ben
-
I just don't think they could do that - it'd be dangerously rammed. Now, closing IICON or Pangea, that would fly. Ben Edit: but yes, it would be unreal!

Just watched that video again. Oh my days. Just cannot wait to see how they develop the whole IICON project for this year. I'll be anticipating that line-up drop as much as any other for the whole festival, I reckon. I love Genosys to my heart, but I have a feeling that IICON might run it close for me this year. Ben
-
They're playing just about everywhere, so I'd say there's a very good chance! Ben

I can see Dettmann live being a big draw... Ben

I think Friday would have been my pick for a single day, but that's an excellent spread across the days. I'm presuming you got yours for the Saturday 🥺? Ben
-
Any day splits yet, for that pretty stellar line-up? Ben
-
So hope that's accurate. Tho one could argue that Macca and Kenny were already shoo-ins! Fingers crossed 🤞🏽 Ben
-
Agreed, but I reckon they'll stick with it for this year almost because the base is there atm. However, maybe the 'moon issue' will be the deal breaker... Anyway, with the webcam up again, I guess we'll know soon enough as I guess they'll move the base away early in the build if they're canning the crane. Shame, mind... Ben

JPT headliner kind of makes sense in that it is a step 'up' from his last headline slot on Park. He could be great in there. Also, with no other dates around the festival on that list at least, he must be a shoo-in for other (DJ) sets. I'd love him on IICON at stupid o'clock... Ben
-
Surely not? The base is there (for now) and the Arcadia Crew always said they would want and need to evolve the new installation. And it wasn't as if the crane was 'unsuccessful'. Just didn't have the spectacle of the spider, especially the last iteration. I'd bet the house on Pangea being there and with some considerable changes. And I hope so. Always better to move forwards than backwards... Ben

Sadly not. Am taking my Dad to Normandy next week and then running the Cardiff half on the Sunday. Praying for Jeff to turn up on the Farm. Ben

Nice. Never seen her play, so that's one for the list. Ben

Always exciting when you get confirmations for Wednesday and Thursday. Excellent. (Although Thursday night is Psytrance night, clearly...!) Ben
-
When their area drop lands, I reckon. Ben
-
I think the only chance of the light show is if he gets a headline set. Ben

IIRC, I think it will have to go, but it was OK to stay until the 2020 festival and then...y'know... However, I am disproportionately thrilled to have that panomax link active again. I don't really use the sweeping webcam, preferring the static image which I can enlarge and move around. Doing that from the moment the fence starts going up is a multiple times a day joy. Ben

I'll be there, as I've seen Kenny before, never seen Bicep and love the sound on West Holts. I like the way that Bicep go about their work, even if it's not quite my thing. But their production is excellent and they've enough hooks and joyous melodies to make that a pretty stellar Sunday closer before I toddle off to one last night of mayhem. At least two of my closest camp mates already on board for them, so will be like Justice, if not quite! Ben
-
Thanks, @TownesMR - somebody else had noticed too and mentioned above a bit. That's put the cat amongst the pigeons with a Bicep/Kenny clash...! Ben
-
Spotted a stupid error. You want to work up the RIGHT hand wall of the big room. Duh. And saw Jeff at WHP in November. My first time seeing him at last, and one of the best sets I've ever seen. Ben

It's a nicely grimy warehousey feel. Three rooms available, ground floor big room, then one upstairs and a pretty small one downstairs. Sound upstairs is my favourite. In fact it's the best room for me. The big room can feel weird if you're at the back as it's a thoroughfare to get to all other parts of the venue so the constant movement of people can be distracting. Also, at the back of that room the sound is a bit shit. Work your way up the left wall facing the booth and cut in from there to be well positioned for the speakers. Downstairs was too packed to move and VTSS was playing 145bpm mindless shite, so I can't comment on what it's really like in there. But I like the venue. Our Lord Jeff Mills is playing there soon. Not going but sorely wish I was. I just can't always go to MCR (from SW of Birmingham) every time I go out! Have a brilliant night. And, this thread is on FIRE 🔥, folks. Love it. Ben

That's the problem with literally, isn't it? It quite literally isn't burning money. Unless the fireworks are manufactured from £50 notes etc. 😄 Ben

Thursday night is all about Psytrance in the Glade Lounge - it's pretty much a single dance genre catered for in the same one venue on the same night each year, and so feels traditional and special at the same time. Sets me up beautifully for the next three nights mostly in Block9/Arcadia etc. Ben

I love the area drops. They're one of my favourite things. In the world. Ever. Ben
