You're probably right. What is the capacity? Notwithstanding the fact that if you're more than half way away (I'm being generous as I've pretty much only ever been as good as under the belly!) the sound and experience is not great - just too much chatter. Ben

Surely he'll be post-headliners, won't he? As people have said, it's a MASSIVE booking and so wouldn't he want to play when everyone 'could' go see him? Ben

PFB Friday Park all. the. way, then! Ben
-
Who else is Friday? Billie, some talk of Four Tet on WH, but I just can't see them having two full on electronic headliners out of three. Surely FT is JPT headliner...? Ben

PFB rapidly approaching must-see status for me. Forgive my not having read back into the thread much, but where do we think? Park headline? That would be fab for me, I'd even forgo Macca for her. But I'd prefer not Sunday as I my gang will almost certainly have a big get together set for Bicep. Ben

That's no hollow promise, matey... Ben

Post that again when the surname changes to Hauff and I will kiss you. Ben

If it helps, his 90 minute set on the Spider in 2017 remains one of the best sets of techno I've ever seen. It was, frankly, perfect. And the fact that it was on at headliner time, meaning that those who were there had really chosen it over lots of other options, meant that the crowd vibe was off the scale. He commented afterwards that it was one of his favourite ever sets to play. I'm even slightly nervous about him playing this year as I would almost inevitably make comparisons! Ben

That's absolute rubbish. Don't be ridiculous. Ben you have to say it five times.

Defo. We were talking about this today and we're pretty sure there has not been anyone playing only Arcadia who has been on the poster. I think received wisdom atm is on him headlining JPT, given that he's already done Park and his stock has risen significantly since then. Ben

It's all gone off a bit re: Nina K in the Arcadia thread... Ben
-
Actually, you're dead right on that. Ignore me! Ben

There's an incredible 2018 Awakenings set linked in the thread a few pages back. She plays a bit faster and harder than that generally now, but you'll get the idea. Ben

Welcome back, Dave. Yeah, IICON is pretty spectacular and I think will be even better now they're on 2.0 and have had three years to tinker. Stenny was superb following the Zenkers to close IICON on the Sat/Sun in 2019. It's going to blow your mind to see the way they video map the whole head structure... Ben

As @TASHMA BWABWE says, maybe special guest or, I wondered, have they moved her to IICON to be a massive draw there and fill that field? She'd be pretty stellar there... Ben
-
Could be, but if the line up leak is true, I'd say there's more DnB to come, rather than techno. Ben

Yup, and The Common, and sometimes you get some cool stuff in Unfairground as well. Saw Radioactive Man play a blistering live electro set there in....2016, I think. And there will almost certainly be some gems in: Glade Glade Lounge (I'm looking at you, Psytrance Thursday...) Spaceport Stonebridge Shangri-La (e.g. Gas Tower) Seriously, in a few weeks we'll be knee deep in Dance Clashmageddon Ben

😬 The only saving grace being that we still have the Block9 drop to come!! Ben

That's very kind, considering I still feel like a dick for posting the fake Genosys poster in good faith 😂 Ben

90's... ...I'm down the front with you, chief. Ben

Play nicely, everyone. I'm proud of the almost invariable positivity in here, despite nicely differing opinions at times. For example, @TASHMA BWABWE being entirely wrong about the merits of 145bpm+ techno. 😂 Ben x

Nice timing. Am literally in the middle of convos with our group and a printers in Frome for a camp t-shirt for this year. I shouldn't share (sorry, makes the post a bit w*nky), as we haven't shown the bigger group what we've come up with yet! But, love your design! Ben

That's not techn...... ....leave it, boy, leave it. Ben
