I have not seen ANY free wood at Glastonbury since 2005!

Damned shame. They need to start selling it again.

That's because they've been using it on the footpaths with the bent rusty nails included.

  2. I've been in wicket last two years.  Great place to camp as others have said.

Really nice vibe and always great to see the kid making friends with the neighbours kids.  It does make things a bit easier in the mornings when kids are entertaining each other.

Really friendly stewards.  Rolled back in the early hours on a couple of nights to have them say "the wife's turn tomorrow night then!".

If you want milk for your kids, bizarrely the nearby breakfast tent would only sell it in 4 pint bottles last year which led to a lot of sharing with the neighbours but unfortunately also a lot of wastage.  Could do with a dedicated milk stall nearby, but was always trying to find one as the last thing we did before returning to camp in the night.

Don't again remember if I've posted. But for those with single/double airbeds and dont want either huge old foot-pump or heavy battery powered pump. These are beauty.

It'll take a fair while to do a reasonable sized double, but just plug and leave it.

    It's dinky.

This does look good, but does it have the right nozzles for standard inflatables and airbeds?

I’m thinking of moving to Tidal, I’ve been thinking about it for a while as they give more to artists than Spotify. I didn’t know about the arms investment. With the new Spotify price hike the Tidal family service will be £3 a month cheaper for the lower res option.

How does Tidal cope in the car? Do the higher res audio streams mean you are more likely to drop audio as you drive through areas of poor signal?

Maybe the answer is in that thread!

From the Reddit link @clarkete posted earlier I found this good thread comparing all the streaming services.

I've dived into the Qobuz free trial.  One day in and not disappointed yet.

I've been very happy with Tidal, found all my tracks easily, audio quality better, easy to migrate and their highest quality is about to drop in price nearly 50% pm.  All the other services give the money that Spotify splurges on Rogan (and more besides) to their artists and they don't have a ceo who invests in arms dealers https://www.whathifi.com/best-buys/streaming/best-music-streaming-services

There was a thread a while back with other chat

I was intending to move to Qobuz earlier in the year for the same reasons but apathy let me down.

Madri's success forced Heineken to push their newly acquired Cruz Campo to the UK market as a rival. A genuine top seller in Spain that I personally think is much nicer than Madri. It's now overtaken Birra Moretti as our top selling lager!

It's amazing what sticking a pixelated image of a bearded hipster on the pump can do for sales!

I use a bike trailer like this

Originally purchased to transport the kids when they were younger but now used for transportation of stuff between car and where I pitch.  I like the fact it's a push rather than a pull and you can get a decent amount in it.

I'm considering getting one of these for this year as our boy will be two and a half and too big to sleep in the four wheel trolley we've converted for him used the last two years.

It's either this or a four wheel with a longer wheel base.

This looks good but a bit worried he won't be able to lie flat in it.

Also it's another bloody thing to find storage space for!

    Solid tyres?

    Schoolboy error

    Solid rubber tyres ftw.

I've had a few pneumatic tyres puncture and come off the rim.  Never had a solid rubber tyres wheel fail.

Agree with @Ben7amin_ on pop ups in general these days, but if you want a less stress putting up experience (and also taking down compared to the larger pop ups) I've had this inflatable one recommended a few times.

It's pricey, but if you're going to be using it alot, looks bloody amazing - https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/4-man-inflatable-blackout-tent-air-seconds-4-1-fandb/_/R-p-302837?mc=8648382&c=sand

(and gives an excuse for some tent porn)

I've got this, I love it.  You can stand up in the porch and plenty of room in there.  It's cool and has a vent at the back for nice air flow.

It is a bit heavy and carrying the bulky pump is a bit of a pain, but well worth it.

Not bothering with tickets until they book more 1970s prog rock bands, ageing white blokes in their 70s with long thinning straggly grey hair playing Moog synthesisers, double arm guitars. Especially bands still gigging  where there’s only one original member left alive. Believe me there’s plenty of them around.

Most guitars are played with double arms.

Everyone knows how much I adore the festival, but losing Williams Green still really hurts. There was and is no other venue that had/has that identity and curated line-up. It was like a small version of the 'New Bands Tent' that JPT was once and for many of us was a key part of our daily line-up schedule. Yes, the big bookings, especially on Thursday with so much less on around the site, became untenable. Fine. Stop booking those bands. But, that combination of upcoming bands and also daytime sets by more established artists who were playing elsewhere during the weekend (Everything Everything, Courtney Barnett etc) was unique to Glastonbury, and its passing is one small step towards the Farm feeling more like 'all the other festivals'. And that's a huge shame. With the loss of The Rabbit Hole, the only vaguely comparable daytime venue (though I do understand the reasons for its end), that type of experience at Glastonbury has taken another huge hit for those of us less interested in chart popular stuff and nostalgia acts. I truly hope they knock it out of The Park with a replacement for the ol' Hole.

    Ben

Rabbit Hole is gone?  How have I missed this news!

good attitude: -  backstage is the most boring place on site the action is out front.

Having worked the bar between Pyramid and Other one year I concur.  Dull and full of boasting industry w*nkers.
