  1. You won't be able to miss him, he won't do much running.
  2. They are everywhere. Whenever I see a lineup or a big gig, blossoms are there supporting someone. They've become Cast for the new generation.
  3. August bank holiday has always been stacked with festivals, even more so this August. I know it's not direct competition but people will be at reading/leeds/creamfields/APE, victorious, sw4 and that of the top of my head. Bad planning on the timing, perhaps should of waited until 2022.
  4. Ticks all the boxes for me. Nick cave ticket is costing me around the same price as the inmusic ticket. Add that the beer is cheap, it ticks all my boxes.
  5. Cheers for the input folks, was just curious how it all was working. I only wear one whilst I'm at work, so probably won't wear one throughout the festival.
  6. Just a quick question to those that have been to festivals this summer. What are people doing with the wearing of masks? Are people still wearing them in certain situations(indoor venues)? Or is it rare that you see someone with a mask on.
  7. Rivermead centre used to be the only Thursday night entertainment back in the day(late 90/early 00's)I remember it not being very busy on the Thursday night anyway and a bit naff.
  8. Myself and daughter heading for brown on Wednesday.
  9. That should be no reason for the cancellation, they just need better security and a better system in place. It is like saying every time there is an accident, events should not take place. Never been to a silent disco myself, don't people just go for a short time anyway? Or do people spend the evening in them? One good thing about reading is people can head off to the centre and a few bars.
  10. Festivals in Europe still have some good lineups with great prices. Inmusic is another.
  11. Fantastic festivals though. 😍
  12. Not one club would choose the championship though.
  13. It's only reading/leeds out of the majors that doesn't have the 2nd stage open aired. Even the now defunct festivals like V and TITP had open aire 2nd stages.
  14. Someone on here said they were never on the site. Bit weird taking the date off and leaving Clapham Common on there don't you think? Can't make the weekend, but Mondays alright.
  15. Catfish supposed to have cancelled the other week, due to social media rumours.
  16. What time do the gates open on Wednesday folks? I know it says 6pm but any earlier? Myself and daughter will be arriving around mid day. Not seen anything about coming in and out of the site, is it just like normal or are there any covid restrictions?
  17. Are people going to pay 250 euros for coldplay(when they tour elsewhere)? I can't say I agree with your point. Is your average festival goer bothered about Coldplay nowadays? They would sell out like sheeran, who is arguably bigger than Coldplay nowadays. Coldplay on there own is not going to sell out sziget in a few minutes. You had one of the biggest pop stars(sheeran) and the biggest rock band(foo fighters) and it didn't sell out, let alone in a few minutes. Looking back they've not played in Hungary since 2008, that was ac12k capacity venue.
  18. My knees would give way.
  19. I don't think majority of artists or festival bookers care about that, artists just think about the big payday and bookers how mnay tickets they sell. Also not everyone is after the same thing from a festival act, if it was say a download you may have a point about the energy. Sziget is so big and so many different types of much it fits all, the same way Glastonbury and Roskilde do. No idea about Billie Eilish, never heard an of her songs. But you could say the same about acts like Radiohead, Nick Cave, Bjork, Portishead but give me those over the hives(1 trick pony) and macklemore.
  20. It's difficult to judge with artists with countries like Hungary. You are probably going back 4 or 5 years when ezra or 1975 played a gig in Hungary that isn't a festival. I'm sure a few headliners are aimed at the non hungarian market, going by that they should be reaching higher than ezra.
  21. If Coldplay do a tour, it's more likely to be there own shows for me.
