Capacity is bigger now than 2013 isn't? Plus you have all the extra Sunday day tickets, (however many that is).

I read recently that the amount of Sunday day tickets available for the locals is only something like 5K, and you will have lost many times that amount of punters who have to leave Sunday. The whole thing about the Sunday bill having to be suitable for the locals is a myth, as evident last year when Kendrick closed the Pyramid.

Well since said it was her hair, if she wanted to make another excuse as to why she was late then she easily couldve. If she said it was a technical issue then nobody could argue much against it. And Billy Nomates wasnt late, all she did was exist and people decided to be mean to her which was uncalled for. Lana on the other hand brought it on herself. And has anyone said they noticed they were trying to fix something on stage or anything? Surely wouldve surfaced by now. All the posts were just "still waiting for lana"

Like I said, as things stand we just don’t know the issue. Perhaps it was to do with mental health or something.

So you’re ok with comments like ‘self-entitled bitch’, which the charming poster two above me wrote?

  3. Some rather unsavoury comments on here, reminiscent of the trolling that Billy Nomates endured on Friday. Bottom line is we don't know the cause of the delay, and I'm confident it wasn't about her 'doing her hair'

  4. I watched it last night as a neutral; they don’t do much for me personally but I’m happy to be won over. I wasn’t. Forgettable songs performed by a lacklustre band to an often disinterested crowd. And why are they dressed like a mid-70’s pub rock band?

Give Rick and Blossoms a Smiths tribute slot every year for the next 10, I doubt anyone would argue. It’s wonderful.

When sat at home not at a festival you have to fill your time somehow

    By unnecessarily downvoting people?

or has someone made a joke poster out of your joke - no applications on the council website under that ref or description. The only one this year is a machinery store.

You actually checked the planning application register?

I can’t see the pyramid stage or the screens cos of the flags .

    Jesus, enough! They are awful.

and I not normally thus grumpy 😅 But they are a scourge on the festival 🫣

Other festivals that don't have them are available

I've got the bootleg recording of that set. It honestly didn't sound that great. I mean, it's fine, but it sounded pretty bog standard really.

True, I came away from the festival with a bootleg cassette of their set and played it once. At the time of course they sounded good enough; fan recorded boots can sound rather poor. They weren't helped by the fact that the first band due to play that day, Amazulu, were a no-show, but later turned up. The Smiths came on earlier than billed and played a shortened set to accommodate Amazulu, who came on after them. I think they only played about 30 minutes, and were probably the most anticipated act over the weekend, and drew an enormous crowd who weren't happy about them going off early.

    Smiths headlined in 84.

They were on late Saturday afternoon, Elvis Costello was the headliner that day. Loads of punters clambered up the Pyramid onto the stage, it was chaotic

    Queen

I used to go to Glasto when Queen were still a four piece, and it seemed absolutely inconceivable that they, or indeed any other megastars, could play on the farm. Fast forward 15-20 years and of course we expect big names to appear, and it's a shame that we missed out on Fred gracing the Pyramid.

Indeed, it's a shame we'll never see the current version of 'Queen', which still put on a great show. It's probably the most  significant body of work by a UK rock band that won't be significantly represented

Based on when the Killers did it, if the word is out, you need to watch the act before to be inside the tent and you need to be there as that act comes off stage to get into the field

The tent was rammed before Frank Carter came on. I'd say be there before the end of the act two before Pulp (if it's them. Which it almost certainly won't)
