  1. New theme for Friday's, went with yellow 💛
  2. I guess they're doing something similar to Boomtown, act wise - less big names and more spread of decent artists
  3. Excited for the theme next year, didn't mind this years one but struggled sorting one out i.e. my imagination was rubbish, and got caught into the logistics of carrying it in etc
  4. Yeah, deffo better crowd. Tbf, the only comparison I had at the time was the Reading festival crowd, haha.
  5. Outstanding festival! Still a bit tender from it, but sign of a good time. Favourite acts I saw were the PussyLiquor's at Squatters Tights on Thursday midnight, so much energy. Enjoyed DJ Flight on the Saturday night, can't remember where she played. Then a North African band Sunday night, but sadly can't remember the name or the place they played. Grumble would be Congo Natty, was a bit slow for a Sunday night, energy was already at a low, they were late as well, music had to be cutoff. Luckily the African band tied off the weekend nicely. Loved the crowd, everyone seemed super friendly and chill. The whole thing really reminded me of the Big Chill festival, but I think I went to the last year in 2011, but I loved that festival. I can't really fault it much, only small things like toilet roll seemed to have run out pretty much everywhere by Sunday afternoon. Overall, lovely festival, lovely people, great vibes and something always going on. The size was great too. I think myself and the 15 others I was with will likely come back next year.
  6. It isn't looking good for just turning up for a ticket on the day. Don't forget to print passes! Luckily reminded my friend who was still in the office today to print one off.
  7. Did anyone order a paper programme? I'm still waiting on mine, so wondering if it's been lost...
  8. So, what my reliable friend has said: - On the main stage alone Congo natty obvs - Dutty moonshine are great for a knees up, kinda swing/soul mixed with elements of bass music - L'entourloop are sick reggae producers and have done songs with Alborosie, Kabaka Pyramid etc - Soom T obvs sick - Chali 2na from jurassic 5 is always a vibe too - Dj Flight, Fabio and Grooverider, GQ and Frenetic for DnB - Digital and conrad as well - Dubbul O and Berry Blacc are hiphop from Manchester and done bits with Mouse Outfit and Levelz - YT another sick reggae artist
  9. Ah wow! That's great, will still try and fit in a water bucket wash, makes festival life real haha. I'll be sneaking a few in too, understand the vendors have to be paid, but a nice balance is fair I think. I got some nice clothing from the charity shop for the Friday, now to think about the furniture theme...
  10. I wasn't expecting showers, does anyone know how much (roughly) they are?
  11. The app is out! With the new map, though can't seem to get a decent picture of it without it blurring. Quiet zones seem to be gone and the pink area (once purple), is a bit bigger.
  12. Ah brill, this is super useful - thank you! I'm coming from London, so looking at a 0700 start for purple or green, or 0800 for Purple - not too bad!
  13. Folk who've been, what's the camping situation like, do places fill up by a certain time? Just working out when to venture up, how crazy the queues are and that.
  14. I was really excited for it, as I think I remember friends raving about it when I was in college. It just really fell off the mark. I remember the sound cutting off completely on the left side of the main stage on Sunday, just before this disco, jazz band was about to play. I felt so bad for them, they were just sort standing there, coming off, walking back on - eventually they couldn't play. I saw their post on Reddit a few weeks after, absolutely fuming, members from around the world traveling to there, countless hours of practicing thrown away. I didn't get a ticket this year, but hope it has improved. The bits I liked were good, definitely a good vibe - just the bad bits outweighed everything. Edit: I don't mind the edgy responses, you know 'the I don't care' attitude, on their social pages, but they just didn't drop it, after what was clearly a poorly run festival. They did eventually, but really rubbish response to complaints.
