  1. They need to go. Anybody who says just move to get a view must not have gone to Elton on Sunday, as once you're in a crowd like that there is simply nowhere to go. We were quite close to the front, maybe 1/5th of the field back, with a really good view of the left hand screen. All was well and then just before he started someone put up their 3 flag pole and for my wife who is a 5.5ft it was all over. She saw nothing for the whole set as the screen was totally obscured. Me being taller I could just about see bits, I could have swapped places with her but the girl behind my wife was the same height as her and I didn't want to block her view even more. All you need to enjoy a set at Glasto is your eyes and ears, anything else like flags and flares can do one.
  2. You can watch it on Plex for free but need a VPN to say you're in the USA. https://watch.plex.tv/movie/glastonbury I'm a full on internet sailor of the seas and had real trouble finding this one.
  3. Blazing Squad. In all seriousness though, Eminem is a name I've heard dropped time and time again since Elton was first listed as a headliner. Convinced there's something in it even though there's zero proof, can feel it in my bones. Would be sweet if Kiki Dee rocked up though, saw her solo at Trowbridge Festival in '18 and she's still really good.
  4. I saw him walking along the path past Hawkwell that year, totally chill, just on his own past the tents. He didn't get mobbed or anything, just gave a wave to everyone shouting hello to him. Top bloke.
  5. I drove to Shaftesbury around that time this afternoon and the car's thermometer hit 31.5. Was please to get back close to Shepton for a more comfortable 29 😄
  6. It uses the Met Office for its UK data. So anything Met Office says should be a match in the app.
  7. I live 5 miles from the site and the sky is looking ominous as f**k in that direction right now. Have felt a few spots of rain here and there but nothing major. We're not forecast rain here until Sunday/Monday but I feel like it's going to break sooner than that, the air is so heavy and dark you can almost hear it.
  8. Got some bad news to share with you all. My wife is going for the first time. Why is this bad? Well every holiday or trip we’ve had together it’s absolutely f**ked it down with rain. Spain 3 times. Washouts. South of France for our honeymoon, washout. South of France again for a second attempt. Washout. Lake District, washout. Edinburgh, washout. Any holiday we take from work and just do a stay at home. Washout. Every time I’ve done Glasto on my own or with a mate it’s been glorious sunshine. This time it’s me and her going together. We’re all f**ked. Sorry.
  9. Seeing a worrying number of reports across social media of tickets going missing in the post and SeeTickets not giving a f*ck. Is there anything about the run up to this festival that isn't stressful?
  10. Any updates on yours? I've got my Yunexpress tracking number but their tracking service doesn't seem to work.
  11. You can’t update an app that’s not like and in production (source am an iOS Dev) so however it is now is how it will stay, he’d have to put it back in the store to do it. Review time is about 2 days these days. Revisions to rejections sometimes even faster. Always been rumoured that larger corporations can queue jump/get priority but never been proven. Either way I hope it never gets approved. I am absolutely fuming about what they did to Reece and his app. Absolute zero legal grounds to do it, pure bullying and completely against the ethos of the festival. I won’t be downloading it.
  12. This is absolutely disgraceful behaviour from Vodafone. There's now nothing in the app that breaches any IP. Feel really sorry for the developer, this is just corporate bullying.
  13. Mine doesn't say that even. Has just said "Secure Post Tickets will be sent by secure post. A signature may be required on delivery." and has never changed 😞 I'm sure it will but it feels like they're cutting it really fine.
  14. At least you got the sent to the secure courier message. I still don’t have that. I’m getting proper worried now.
  15. Hmm, this is a weird set up and different to mine. My ground stake is about the width of two writing pencils and it's not meant to be snug as the play is to help take some of the strain in the wind, otherwise if it's really snug and the wind pushes it, the ground stake will just snap/lever itself out of the ground. Maybe just different designs.
