He literally uses an unknown artist in pretty much every song he has done. From what I’ve seen on their own instas etc they are very grateful he chose them. He’s just getting started. People should give the guy a break rich background or not, he’s been behind the scenes for years and now he’s had his break

I agree, apparently he was asked to headline other this year, but he wanted the sunset slot specifically which I do agree in the end was perfect, I’d love to see him actually take that headline spot purely because he deserves it and it’d mean a lot to him, glasto will have definitely noted the size of the crowd and how up for it every one was.

Ya definitely doable, Boomtown is full to the brim of dancers, performers and actors, being a Bristol based festival and having links to Glasto it’s definitely doable if they want it, I would like to see a few more walkabouts scattered about in other areas

I said this to my partner wandering around a bit emotional and reflective Saturday night, for a festival of its stature and different elements to it, nothing to really moan about IMO, like you said any little niggles when I have had them, like last year are often resolved the next. I couldn’t pick anything this year that I felt strongly enough to moan about to be honest. Been to far far worse smaller festivals, glastonbury actually gives you the vibe that they care about you and your welfare, it isn’t just a feeling of corner cutting to make as much money as possible, that’s not the whole premise of the festival and you feel that.

This was my first full 5 days glasto where I had a ticket and didn’t have to work, and Omg I’ve struggled so much to accept that’s it’s for a year 😞

Yeah I do agree it could be a bit more wow, although glasto and Boomtown are two very different festivals I do believe Shangri la is linked to both of them, would be nice to take a bit of Boomtowns theatrics and walkabouts and put it into Shangri la in the day time, I think doing it in the evening would just block it up further, maybe Glasto need to focus on some of the quirky art installations off the path, out of sight out of mind I guess. Newbies wouldn’t know it’s there

Yeah me too, he clearly has a big love for Glasto and generally acts that genuinely love the place are always there whether that’s secret acts, appearances or just as a punter, so I’m sure he’ll be about especially as Four Tet seems to perform every year

Did anyone venture off the actual main pathway? All those quirky little art installations are still there? Did you go into the supermarket? The estate agents etc?

Yeah that’s fair I think he’ll be there as a punter 100% or show up at some sets, four tet is there every year. In a way I wouldn’t want him to be everywhere and become stale

Looking at the size of his crowd, the reaction and it being a perfect set what do we think??? I loved it but struggled with the busy crowd near the front and then sadly moved back and ended up in a bad sound spot so would love the opportunity to see him again

Anyone else mega struggling to accept it’s a whole year away now? That mixed with new anxiety about being there next year, this year was my first year with a ticket out of 5 festivals so hoping to get lucky again 😕

Joy of difference for me I thought last year was pretty poor, whereas this year I’m dreading the final poster and timings as I could already listed about 20-25 acts I want to see and still looking forward to glade and block 9 posters. You win some you lose some

Hey, they are heading there today 🙂 and will live on site until the end of July, unfortunately you are unlikely to see any of the fence this week, the first few days are usually laying down foundations and clearing the fences path. I did get a spoiler that today is the day of the dress though 🤩

I can confirm fence crew arrive on site tomorrow 🤩 my partner being one of them

If I’m right they never actually did, they pulled quite late and glasto said they’d never book them again

I went last week it’s all good to walk around 🙂 I live local and walk around until beginning of June with no issues
