I don’t generally go for the line up, just love doing all the other bits and exploring the music. We are about 20 mins away from WOMAD so we were thinking of that

womad is a lovely festival for kids and the site is lovely  always some cool shade in the arboretum, and the music (for me) a discovery (was always pleasantly surprised at how much my son (a Glastonbury veteran) embraced the non-western music .

and you don't have to worry about beered up w*nkers.

    Any recommendations for glasto alternatives?

i used to love guilfest and womad with my kid. others will probably have different ideas.

We love it, the kids love it, have an amazing time!

glasto is great for kids but as the parent i found other festivals much more pleasurable for me, without the kids having less fun.

they're less daunting for both parent and child ,and smaller crowds at other festivals make it easier to dip in & out of things as suits the child's interest.

Just some more divisive rhetoric from our failed unelected prime minister. He hasn’t got time to make any reforms like this.

its a good way for him to highlight labours need to raise taxes for the tories that hate taxes and might still be persuaded to vote tory.

literally watch any eric prydz set ever hahaha... can even go more mainstream - swedish house mafia tend to stick to there own tracks or tracks the three have produced on there solo record labels. You're talking absolute pony mate hahaha

So are you pridz had a big hit with someone else's record, not a straight version but someone else's.

Can you send names / links? I'm intrigued

For the sake of seeing what you have to say - Eric Prydz, Justice, Chemical Brothers?

Eric pridz plays steve wildwoods records.

Interest rates haven't brought down house prices significantly if at all, so now first time buyers are facing silly high prices plus higher interest rates on mortgages. Only way to do is it be rich already or have wealthy and generous parents.

I remember me saying demand will hold prices up and being told they'd fall loads.

I was on statins for a while when I was diagnosed with type 2. My cholesterol wasn't even particularly high but like so much with diabetes it put you at higher risk.

Decided to come off them when I went into remission

can't remember what they're called but i did have those lumps on my eyelids which denote high cholesterol, but since I've been on statins they've gone away.

it's all next parliament stuff anyway, right?

the cost of mental health disabilities is astounding, need to find more for the physically disabled,  numbers of which will increase rapidly with an aging population, as more oldies get hit by strokes as i was - one in three people suffer a stroke, strokes are biggest cause of later life disability - that's where the crisis is, it  can be lessened by prescribing statins to the over 50s. they're dirt cheap, and with no side effects I've noticed, reduces cholesterol, quite nicely too.(I think that might be starmer's plan, think it might be a problem with docs who aren't meant to proscribe without an ailment.)

reckon that if you asked your doc for them he'd/she'd prescribe them.

I know a few in this thread are Aldershot fans so what do you guys make of Gateshead being denied a play-off spot but Aldershot also being denied the chance to sub in for them?

looks like the beginning of the end for gateshead, the council not backing the club with the ground is what led to the old aldershot club folding.

Oh, you just totally missed the point then and were disrespecting the whole craft of djing.

You mean I repeated wot someone said ( what was said about Fatboy). Other people shouting at clouds now. Tell me the name of a DJ who never plays anyone else's records then!

Fair dos. Not really my thing but always thought he'd carved out quite a nice space for himself as a dj so good luck to him.

  15. heres one for the Starmer haters who won't be telling us how much he hates this Starmer policy position David Lammy (hardly a right-winger) said : "Our guiding light will be progressive realism"

HOW WOULD UNREALISM BE BETTER? 😛
