I get the point, Fatboy Slim hasn't done anything for 20 years in music, his dj sets are just pressing play for songs not even his.

same for the other dj's people cream themselves about.

     the old grey whistle test.

did they drag out the wailers session - they always seem to use that, often talking heads too.

We drove through Eastville recently on the way down to St Marks Road, past the skate place under the M32.  There was a massive crowd of youngsters, a banging sound system playing and a skunk smell strong enough you could smell it in the car as we drove past 😂

guess that was those caravan people parked at the back of ikea having a bit of fun.

Bristol old bill are so cool. 🙂

i once had a copper knock on my door after I'd just finished a spliff and asked me if I'd seen drug dealing from any of the nearby houses i said no (cos ihadn't) but did say i smoked the occasional spliff (cos i thought she'd be smelling it.)and she didn't flinch.

since I've lived here I've known of three shops that sell weed over the counter.

for day to day spending at the moment they’ve ruled it out.

makes sense cos it makes it unsustainable in the longer term.

as long as they can find a way of increasing council funding they'll be able to make a noticeable difference quite quickly, councils will know how to step up and improve their services, and real people will notice the benefit.

Victory for common sense motorist types in Wales as looks like they're going to uturn on the 20mph thing...

And Greens going to vote on whether to ditch power sharing with SNP over that carbon uturn thingy.

    Here endeth your news roundup.

the greens probably don't want to be part of the snp's fraud.

Thankfully nanny/grandad aren’t too far if she really hates it. She’s pretty robust, comes with us everywhere so we think she should be okay, but obviously Glastonbury is a different ball game!

its very do-able but something might catch you out, be prepared to quit if you have to.

get your kid familiar with the music of an act you'll definitely see, they will enjoy bands more if they recognise  what they're hearing (i think they then understand what the whole thing is about).

my ex-neighbour took her two year old foster child that she'd only had for 3 months, i thought that was very brave of her.

    - if you think you'll take kid again in the future, remember that you don't have to squeeze everything in this year.

    - make sure you do some circus and cabaret as the kid is more likely to enjoy stuff that isn't music.

keep it varied, when kid gets tired give them time to sleep, it'll make your life easier. dealing with a tired kid is the worst thing.

above all, remember to have fun and enjoy it. 🙂

So, all being well tomorrow we are hoping to be back on the farm! We’re planning to take our 10 month old with us… are we insane? Any tips? 🤪

i've done it with an 10 month old too. was very had work, was a very rainy & muddy year.

get one of those backpack carriers, it gets baby above the crowds where he/she can see. my kid was throwing (shapes) his arms up in the air to the music, was very cute. and could then fall asleep with his head on my shoulder

    - get ear defenders

    - get some solar fairylights to put on pushchairs, etc, festival goers don't expect low level obstacles.

    - take a tent with a big floor that baby can crawl on.

    - use the kidz field its lovely and fantastic.

have a backup plan(granny on standby? maybe).

if your kid hates it, do what's right for your kid

I didn't say anything about paying extra did I?, I said I was happy to pay £50 which was the bottom amount to get what I did.

    my apologies for my misunderstanding.

Yeah Madonna doesn’t skimp on production as that's where a lot of your money goes. I was happy to pay £50 and get a high, far away but decent view.

you were happy to pay extra to be further away from it? its normally done the other way pay extra to be closer.😛

Any significant growth won't happen for at least a couple of years (if at all) so they're going to have to either raise taxes or cut spending.

decent funding of public services should create some growth.

I guess the measure is the high level of expectation that things will quickly change for the better. I don't think they will. He's still been dealt the same hand of cards and is going to have to either cut spending or raise taxes (unless he can tap Rayner for some cash).

Things will change for the better but perhaps not Very quickly.people were unhappy with Blair they didn't feel he was doing enough. But things still improved loads.

You are very mistaken as you will soon find out.

    depends what the measure is?

will he succeed in improving things? yes, things are so bad he can improve them. 🙂

  14. i'm quite happy living it up on your taxes, suckers 😛 , but i'd be quite happy to have my health and mobility back and have to work.

it is what it is, i'm not a skiver, i've been dealt a sh*t hand, (perhaps contributed to that myself, dunno?)

hope hes going to be down on  tory ex mp's too  seems to be a lot of them about at the moment enough to  be an identifiable group itself in the stats.

not sure it doesn't exist...the number off people of work due to illness has gone up more here since the pandemic than others in G7...and that is a problem for those people, and for the economy. Not sure there is an easy answer too, all individual cases, all complicated. We are a sick nation at the moment.

if people are happy without work why force them, many aren't capable of work and are not considered employable by any known employer. i don't feel that i could deliver the required quality in any work task i might be assigned, not because i don't care, but because certain brain functions have been damaged with my brain injury, i have them detailed in a medical report i have somewhere, i forget what they are one damaged brain function is memory., another is strategic thinking; another concentration; mostly these don't give me much trouble, i try to adapt.
