  1. Honestly, they are gonna sub them probably, but the replacement will be nowhere near as big. There is hardly any room to maneuvre in this years festival market. Best bet would be a solution where 2 acts exclusive to WE or 2 respectively double up to both WE, but I only see Interpol being able to do that RN
  2. PNL are in France on WE one and were supposed to play in 2020 Honestly, they could just pull up Charli and RTJ and it would still be better than any line up around except maybe glasto
  3. I mean, everythings stacked beyond measure anayways, so i wouldn't really need a replacement. Be funny if they pull The Replacements though
  4. Don't think they can without replacing one of the biggest acts of the bill, especially since its not as close to the fest as the last years.
  5. Yeah, personally I prefer them, but they'll have been secured way before the others pulled out. Opportunity for PS to fill drop out gaps, but I don't think it was intended. Also, theres gotta be someone who fills in the actual timetable slots.
  6. Oh man, really wish them a speedy recovery. With MA, Brockhampton and C Tangana out, we have lost quite a bit of weight off the bill
  7. Yeah. No real sense in burning a Band like NIN for a sold out fest. As for the other guesses, I wouldn't expect as many "classic" PS acts since we are down to one weekend again.
  8. Connan Mockasin is apparently pulling out, dates seem to be canceled.
  9. You do know a gallon of Gas would cost you something like 7,50$ in many places in Europe?
  10. How on earth is the Madrid edition supposed to work in terms of acommodation, if its a 45 drive from the city with no realistic public transport? Seems very strange.
  11. Primavera LA will drop their Day distribution tomorrow. Just for the record.
  12. This stage of capitalism where we discuss what would more likely be a threat to Primavera, the Plague or the World War, is really the most boring dystopia I can imagine. Anyway here is my Top5 W1 Pavement Turnstile Weyes Blood Nick Cave The Caretaker W2 YeahYeahYeahs The Weather Station The Smile The Strokes Big Thief
  13. By June, all of Europe will have lifted all measures apart from maybe Mask mandates indoors. Vaccine rates have proven to be robust against Omikron even at enourmous infection rates, so there is neither need nor legitimacy for any moew measures. Even Germany will now lift all measures by the end of March and they have been the last country (in central Europe) to rely on such heavy restrictions as force shutting clubs and prohibiting (most) events.
  14. I don't really think that too many acts will drop out. Sure, some scheduling conflicts will arise and we'll see some act we didn't expect it from not being vaccinated and canceling bc of travel issues, but the vast majority of acts, managements and booking agencies are desperate to earn money. The big issue has always been planning insecurity. With the US, UK, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Spain having already lifted or currently lifting regulations completely, it is just a question of time when other countries follow. Unlike 2020 or 2021, this summer the target audience of festivals is largely vaccinated. And even if it isn't looking better infectionwise by springtime, there is nothing to be gained by prolonging measures beyond, say, March. Lockdown measures were meant wo buy time so as few people as possible die before we get the vaccines. We have them now, we even have medication, we had time to strenghten the health sector (although obviously neoliberal idiocracy in governments did not in fact do that) we had time to roll the vaccines out. Lockdown measures become completely senseless* at some point and vaccination rates in most countries that are relevant for PS are high, especially considering the demographic is rather well educated and better off financially. Countries with too low vax rates and too many old people (yeah Germany looking at you) will eventually mandate vaccines, because they pretty much have no other option. Obviously, we could still be hit by a super-hyper-mega mutant (corona, not a Margaret Thatcher reincarnation ) but if that doesnt happen, 2022 is looking good and governments should now give promoters the go for cultural events. *not saying mild regulations like mask mandates in certain indoors areas and covid passes couldn't stay
  15. Well its Jonny Greenwood, not impossible he drags out a guitar solo until YYYs start playing
  16. Thats strange? Its 55€ in Berlin and normally, Amsterdam concerts are slightly cheaper
  17. lol, completely forgot about those perks
  18. News: The Smile are in oops, someone was faster. Can't delete this for some reason
  19. The Line up really is the best in the world, they must have exquisite bookers, but the ticket deparment seems to be run by a single part-time intern
  20. Yeah mine is wrong too, but I wouldn't make too much out of it. These mails have always been confusing. My assumption is that upgrades and new bought tix are already registered in DICE and the mails go out to those who've had tickets before. Everyone who isn't on Dice yet, will have their tickets transferred in March. Guess that'll clear up the confusion around it.
  21. Finding a new singer and rehearsing all the material with them before the scheduled dates this year sounds quite unlikely. I'm not very optimistic about this. Also, while being a great band in many ways, Isaacs Singing is what tied their sound together for me.
