Gonna be close between macca , Elton , stones and dolly …. Although there were claims of bigger crowds for older acts … not sure it could ever be measured

Agreed - cant be measured exactly so never can be sure ... however it feels to me like a higher percentage are saying Elton is a must see than were for Macca last year.

  2. I can remember being very uninspired when last years poster came out and even had the briefest of thoughts about not going.  Wasn’t keen at all on any of the 3 headliners, and for my first time going I thought this would be disastrous. You all know ( and I do now) that this is not the case at all.  I ended up having the best time ever and now find myself not really wanting to have more than one pyramid headliner as it gives you a better experience exploring the other stages.

Given my feelings about last years poster and how good a time I ended up having, I can’t even begin to imagine how good this year is going to be!

  3. Feeling like a bit of an outlier here, but I absolutely love the lineup so far …. and to think it is only going to get better.

9 must sees and 8/9 others that I would be very keen on!

    Must Sees -

CRJ, Elton, Lizzo, Rina, CHVRCHES, Fred, TWOD, Maggie Rogers, Christine

    Keen to see -

Lana, Royal Blood, Texas, Blondie, Manics, Hot Chip, Cat Burns, Weyes Blood … and actually warming up to the idea of GnR depending on what is on at the same time.

    So excited 😆

  4. Just catching up and really surprised at the negativity!

I am absolutely loving this so far - loads of acts I really want to see ... and much more to come.

1 Pyramid headliner (Elton) - that's all you really need and a really strong undercard.

Really like the poster design this year as well

... and they only went and booked Jeppo!  Seen a lot of acts in the last year and she was probably the best fun of the lot, so the thought of an hour of CRJ bangers at Glasto has me buzzing 😁

You’re very welcome. Lots of guesswork as always but enough there for a good weekend for me.

Great work.  I would be well happy with this - no terrible clashes and loads to see for me.

  6. @adcarr_  When I see these line ups I usually do a quick mental count of how many acts I would genuinely want to see over the whole weekend, regardless of whether they clash or not.  Based on nothing but my own taste, a poor one would be 15 and some of the really good ones would be 25 or even approaching 30.  Your one has 39!!

  7. @adcarr_ actually scrub what I just said - that Sunday night is the stuff of nightmares - what are you trying to do to us all? 😵

Elton - Fred - M83 - Prodigy - Orbital!!!   I would want to go to all of them - that sounds to me like one of the worst 5 way clashes ever

Cheers! As I was getting lower down on the lineup I realised it was probably too strong due to me simply reaching the extent of my music knowledge! But who knows maybe the budget will magically grow in size and it’ll be possible😂

I was actually replying to the lineup posted earlier by @wro_lap  but have just read yours and that is a great effort as well - would take yours too, but probably even more stacked and probs a bit unrealistic … but we are allowed to dream aren’t we?

Given this a go. I believe every artist on here is touring around Glastonbury and hasn't been yet ruled out. Some of the lower down acts may be placed somewhat unrealistically and there's a few acts I don't know too well so I've had to punt on them:

    Friday:

Py: Arctic Monkeys, Pulp, Lil Nas X, Blondie, Tenacious D, Becky Hill, ?
Other: Halsey, Rosalia, Aitch, Dermot Kennedy, The Hives, Ella Henderson, Gang Of Youths, Suede
WH: Loyle Carner, Pinkpantheress, Denzel Curry, RAYE, Ashnikko, Nilufer Yanya, Kalush Orchestra
JP: Hot Chip, Bleachers, Rina Sawayama, The Reytons, Angéle, Baby Queen, Gilla Band, Mae Muller
Park: Manic Street Preachers, Aurora, Black Country New Road, Gwenno, The Mysterines, Alex G, Divorce

    Saturday:

Py: Guns ‘n’ Roses, Lewis Capaldi, Lizzo, Sting, Wet Leg, Cat Burns, Candi Staton
Other: Sam Smith, Fred Again.., Ghost, Tom Grennan, Pale Waves, The Mars Volta, Spoon, Black Honey
WH: Mabel, Pusha T, Sudan Archives, Buddy Guy, The Comet Is Coming, Joesef, Los Bitchos
JP: Christine and the Queens, The Lathums, Yard Act, Ezra Furman, Maisie Peters, Dylan, Sinead O’Brien, Far From Saints, Prima Queen
Park: M83, Shame, Ezra Collective, TBA (The Black Keys), Jessie Buckley + Bernard Butler, The Beths, Billy NoMates, Richard Dawson

    Sunday:

Py: Elton John, Queens of the Stone Age, Paolo Nutini, Rod Stewart, Jack Johnson, Gregory Porter, MUNA, Local Band
Other: The Prodigy, The War On Drugs, Central Cee, Niall Horan, DMA’s, Holly Humberstone, Lovejoy, CMAT
WH: FKA Twigs, Willow, Arlo Parks, Lapsley, Meute, FLO, Jockstrap, ETC Winner
JP: Editors, Maggie Rogers, Angel Olsen, Nova Twins, TBA (Foo Fighters), Mimi Webb, Brooke Combe
Park: Sparks, Young Fathers, Marcus Mumford, Alvvays, The Big Moon, The Regrettes, Wunderhorse, Witch Fever

Stick!!  Would take this in a heartbeat, but it’s possibly too stacked if that’s even possible!  Clashes everywhere for me!  Great work 👍

Nail in the Foals debate coffin

Always found that ridiculous debate anyway - it’s not even close.  I mean they sold out MSG, multiple arenas and always sell out 2 nights at the O2.  Now this only a few months later

Seeing universal praise for Jeppo's tour. Getting my partner all kinds of excited for Sunday's show in Bristol. Thanks for the feedback, all

Still can't believe how good she was live - as someone above said it was absolutely joyous - such a fun night.

She really is a strange one - the amount of people I have mentioned to and you get the raised eyebrows and then the "she's the Call Me Maybe singer, right?"  She has got bangers for days - 26 songs played in Dublin and she still had to leave out Your Type, Cry, This Love isn't Crazy, Comeback and many more

There will definitely be some repeats on the undercard this year, more than usual.

Many artists played last year because their appearances were postponed due to covid and now they have new albums to promote so they’re doing the festival circuit all over again.

Other examples include Caroline Polachek, Arlo Parks and Squid.

Would also love Caroline Polachek again as well.  Similar to Jessie she was great last year, and new album out next week

Dont know why people want repeats again and again and again. Its great Jessie has a new record coming out. Just played and theres no need. She would have to play at a time that isnt at night and not a stage headliner so its kinda pointless, especially for the show she had been doing in support of the latest release.

She will have a whole album of new material out by June - not like it would be the same set

  14. Carly Rae Jepsen.  First night of tour.  Dublin Saturday night.
One of the most fun nights I have had in many years.  Electric atmosphere right from the start, great crowd and she rattled through 26 songs in around 1hr 40.  I have never seen her live before but went with high expectations and she still managed to exceed them.

Would love to see her booked for the farm this year - she would be perfect for the JP tent.
