Do we really think AM and The 1975 will both headline? That's two of last years reading headliners seems like a flop to me.

Not at all.  I don't think anyone really believes they will book both in the same year.  People are just suggesting The 1975 would be a better pick than AM

I mean, BMTH and Pendulum both upstaged AM frankly, it's a low bar. The AM crowd were completely asleep at Leeds and I'm not surprised. We left early to get an easy taxi.

Fair comment - AM was a very low bar, but regardless of that The 1975 still put on a cracking show at very short notice. I thought it was a brilliant set and the general consensus was the same

Assuming you mean AM would, but tbh The 1975s 2019 (2018?) setup looked phenomenal, and from what I hear their recent stuff in the States has been decent too.

Assumed wrong - quite the opposite!  The 1975 would smash it versus AM who are such a dull booking if it is them.  The 1975 smashed it at Reading 2019 (I was there and they were incredible - so much energy). Then last year they completely upstaged AM at Reading as well.  New album is ace as well (The 1975 that is)

Matty Healy vs Alex Turner for who's the more insufferably arrogant is a tough one.

Agreed - that is a tough call indeed.

What isn’t a tough call is deciding who would put on a better show - it’s not even close

  5. Just out of interest looked at a few dates on Stubhub - WTAF!!!

Ridiculous amount of tickets on sale at obscene prices.  This is so out of control now - something needs to change

I don't think hers require wristband access, I fairly sure they're in the Tipi Field, not the village.

Maybe hers are bookable through her own website, not sure TBH, have never asked.

Anyway hopefully I'll get a reply from her later.

Interested in this - keen to hear any further info when you get it.  Thanks

Yeah Fender was always a hope, can’t even make the Toon shows either after promising to take my sister Pink 😂🤦🏽‍♂️

TBF - Pink puts on a cracking show.  Saw her at Wembley a few years ago - so many bangers.  Would love to see her on the Farm sometime

All I’ve ever wanted to see at Glasto were

    Prodigy now dead certs

    Sam Fender - 50/50

Lizzo so she can strangle me.

    Looks positive so far

Reckon there is next to no chance Sam will be there next year.

Lizzo and Prodigy look nailed on though - I'll see you there!

    Starting to shape up nicely

I purchased 6 tickets with my Santander debit card and had to authorise the payment with my mobile banking app.

My first lot of tickets - when I entered the card details and hit "Pay", the little cog just started spinning and stayed like that for at least 5 minutes (felt like a lot longer!).  Then it just bombed out to a white screen.  I thought all was lost and then about 5 minutes later I checked my Barclaycard app and it showed £300 payment pending.  My nerves were shot by this stage!  Then got the magic email 😊

I didn’t preauthorise with revolut and they didn’t require any authentication… must have been lucky

I got two lots of tickets 20 mins apart and my barclaycard didn't ask me to authorise for either of them.  Really surprised as it usually asks for even £50 online transactions, and yet 2 x £300 in a short timeframe just went through!

Feels weird to me that they'd have 2 out of 3 of Reading's (real) headliners from last year, with AM and 1975

Yeah - agreed.  That's why I don't see them both headlining, but at the same time it would seem odd them not being there at all.  Will just have to wait and see what happens

1975 would be great fun IMO, similar to Killers where they have more bangers than you quite realise

Exactly - both are hated on quite a bit, but they are two of my favourites live that know how to put on a hell of a show. Non-stop bangers all the way

I don't think that having AM and 1975 is unreasonable - especially given it seems pretty accepted on here the idea of AM, GNR and Elton.

No chance they would accept Other.

Agreed, but I also struggle to see them not being on the farm at all next year.  So Pyramid it is then - scenes on here when they are announced 😂

  14. The 1975 are a strange one at the moment.  They aren't really being talked about as a contender nearly as much as others, and yet -

They last played in 2017 so a 6 year gap

Have had 3 number one albums since then

Regularly sell out big arena tours and sell out multiple nights at The O2

Are just starting out on a tour which goes into next year so will definitely be about

Have massively improved as a live act as shown by 2 headline slots at Reading that they nailed.

I agree Matty Healy is a cock, but they do put on a cracking live show (easily upstaged AM this year)

By pretty much every measure, they should be nailed on to be there next year (particularly the gap and the fact they are touring).  I can't see them subbing the Pyramid and not sure if they would accept headlining The Other.

Ultimately, I think the booking of AM rules them out of headlining the Pyramid as surely they wont have them both headlining?  However, them not appearing at all next year just doesn't seem likely - so where do they fit?

  15. **** Can everyone stop posting on this thread please and let it drop down the list ****

This debate is helping nobody at all, and is not what we all come here for.  Let this one drop please.

Do it or don't fs. The amount of times you have threatened this or done it temporarily and then brought them back must be in the double figures.

FFS - this isn't helpful at all

  17. Woooohoooooo!   Will be on the farm for a second time next year -  on cloud nine right now.  Got them after 10 when all hope seemed to be draining away.  Daughter was in tears with joy.

Congrats to all who were successful.  For everyone else keep the faith for the resales as there will be lots of help.

Well given how much of a nightmare we've established Ticketmaster US is with their dynamic pricing stuff, I can only guess the ticket sale day is going to be an absolute nightmare.

I'd still presume tbf that it's possible she could be around in the UK in August/September. But that's for future announcements to be made one way or another. It certainly is the end of the line for any Glasto hopes.

Eventually got through and you have to have a US phone number!  Poor form 🤷‍♂️

Depending on when Olivia releases her next album, she could be in the mix too

Given we are actually now discussing who might play nearly 2 years from now, that is a fair shout.  She was one of the big surprises for me this year, so if she follows up with a big second album, who knows

    and circus in headliner heaven

That would be a dream line-up for me, but I don't really want to be at the Pyramid all 3 nights.  Wouldn't complain though!
