The slot is third down under James.

I can't see it being him. Especially with Self Esteem playing below whoever it is, who's extremely femanist playing below a guy kicked out his band for beating up a woman. Victorious being a family festival as well. Won't be him.

My main guess of Shed Seven looks less likely now as they didn’t include it on the list of Festivals they we’re playing.

Hoping it’s not the Karzi Chefs.

WOW. just heard Toms new track.he will fit that gap between James and Phonics. Cant wait.what a BANGER.

Do we think festivals will book him given his fairly recent past?

Edit: If you’re referring to Tom Meighan of course

yep jake bugg is good but wont be the one thats sells out friday even tho not the headliner, thats why still think its tom or h classics

I’ve re-listened to the radio interview. Re the Friday he says -“there’s still a lot of acts to come. I think it might be a sell-out” so I’m not convinced it’ll be one massive name in that slot. Looking at the Superstruct Fests and who’s around my guess is still Shed Seven for that slot.

Just browsing the other festivals, and I hadn't realised Bastille are playing both Victorious, and Reading & Leeds. Does that ever happen usually, and if so, could there be any more crossover do you think?

Quite unusual I’d say, especially towards the top of the bill.

why would they say there are lots to be added friday and the special act will sell out all tickets? Unless they are going to add castle to friday . very strange but exciting

Maybe add Idles as a possible. Can’t see how anyone can play third down and sell out all the tickets!

  6. The move to August hasn’t helped IMO. Plenty of other options. I’m a Nick Cave fan but I’m off to Victorious instead which has a jam packed line up for my tastes. As said at the time you could make a good three day festival out of APE’s six dates. I reckon they think Londoners will just go for a day out almost irrespective of line up.

Friday TBA.....shed seven? would be a perfect fit

I think this is the most likely outcome. They are at Camper Calling that weekend with James so very much in the frame. Kaiser Chiefs would be my second guess. They’re also around. Not a fan personally but they seem to still retain some popularity. Agree that wouldn’t leave much for the yoof on the Friday but as I’m old I don’t really care 😂

I was presuming Ann-Marie was a castle headliner but they normally say who they are and she’s just listed as playing Sunday.  Presuming she’s under Sam Fender

Think The Wombats will headline Castle against Nutini, which would make sense.

Hope NBT are against Fender but I’ve got a horrible feeling it will be Suede which would be a nightmare for me.

Sam Fender, Paolo Nutini, The Liberines, Primal Scream, Suede, Ann Marie, Inhaler, Bastille, Kula Shaker, Example, White Lies, The Subways, Turin Brakes, Any McDonald, Andy C and a Hot Chip DJ Set…

Oh and a comedy lineup with Joel Dummett and Kathy Ryan

    Not too bad

If that’s true then I’m now in. Funny old game.

    Or Snow Patrol

    Aren’t Snow Patrol Irish?

I’ll go for Biffy. There were some rumours of a “heavier” band ages ago and (prepares for abuse) I don’t think Gerry is big enough to headline a Festival of this size in England.

    Long time not posting.

Just thought id give you a heads up, being the festival price going up you would imagine its going to start being placed alongside Superstruct's other festivals in mainland Europe in August.

Flow Festival roughly the same time has Gorillaz, Florence and Nick Cave.

Could really see the other 2 headliners being Gorillaz and Florence, with Nick Cave on the bill too.

Sziget has nothing really available, either Reading acts, Kings of Leon at Boardmasters and Dua Lipa too big.

EDIT - They also run Oya festival in Norway and Gorillaz and Nick Cave are there too.

I also didn't realise they run Wacken Festival now as well. Would be awesome to see Limp Bizkit under Gorillaz [yeah I know thats not happening]

Think Cave is unlikely (sadly). He’s playing Rock en Seine and All Points East that weekend and three gigs in a row might be too much although technically he could play Saturday.

Gorillaz are playing APE/Field Day so don’t know if that rules them out or not.

Foals and Sam Fender not big enough to headline A festival headlined by The Streets, Madness and Royal Blood last year….

    Come on now

George Ezra headlining Boardmasters but a co-headline here….

    Lets stop it

This Festival looks to have a bigger capacity than Boardmasters so I don’t think that’s impossible.

I never said Foals weren’t big enough enough to headline, in fact I suggested them as possible headliners!

As for Fender, I’m not disputing his current popularity but different festivals cater for different audiences and this Festival tends to have well established headliners. That said, if Fender was to headline, I think it would go down well.
