With Pixies at APE, what are they chances of them also being at Victorious. They would make a cracking Castle headliner, obviously against someone I like on the main stage, like mumford and Marr this year.
Was wondering if it made them more or less likely. I think it makes them more likely - agree sub or Castle headline.

I think we will all be thunderstruck by the lineup next year. Just remember though that moneytalks.
AC DC it is then.

Not sure Noel will be there. It just looks so B-list when Liam is at R&L the same weekend.
Paul Weller would strike me as a “we couldn’t get anyone else” headliner.
Pulp are looking very likely aren’t they. I could tolerate Fatboy Slim as a headliner if they put The Courteeners against him on The Castle. I’d like them to give someone like Fontaines DC a headline slot - a newer band that I think could pull it off. I’d need to find some female artists high up to balance things out a bit. Think Girls Aloud could be the Saturday special guests?
-
So looks like no Catfish or Gerry Cinnamon either as both at R&L.
Courteeners look a really good shout now but a bit awkward to place in the South. Castle headline against a dancier act maybe?
-
Is Fatboy Slim really big enough to headline a Festival of this size? I’m a bit out of touch these days but it seems like a bit of a stretch? Castle Stage maybe?

Pixies not big enough to headline main stage IMO. Either sub on main or Castle headliner I reckon.

Anyone on here ever been? Line up released yesterday, and looks fairly good. A decent mixture.
Some of the reviews of previous years on Facebook don’t read too well — what’s the atmosphere/vibe like?
I’m looking to go to a festival in late July and thinking either this or Standon Calling, or maybe Truck?
I have been to this Festival but it was back in 2019. Outdoor main stage and second stage in a tent with a separate dance tent too.
Mix of ages but mainly locals. Camping chair central around the main stage but to be fair not much seating provided outside of very expensive VIP areas. A few yoof who can’t handle their drink but that’s hardly a rarity at a Festival. Think in good weather it’s decent but could get quite grim if it rains.
I stayed in High Wycombe and got the bus in and out each day which worked well for me as I generally left before the headliners finished. I did hear some who stayed a bit later had some issues with the later buses.
In summary I’d say it was very much a “locals” Festival but I wouldn’t put anyone off who fancied giving it a go. I’ve never been to Standon or Truck but my impression would be that both of those would be substantially larger.

Think after that R&L announcement Kasabian are certs and Jamie T looks increasingly likely. Not completely convinced either is big enough to headline although I expect Kasabian will. Kaiser Chiefs and Razorlight likely but they’re not really my bag.
Get the feeling I might be at APE this year instead. -
It’s ok. Was never going to be as good as last year for me as pretty much all my favourite bands played then. I’ll wait and see what the next announcement brings. If you don’t live locally it’s not a cheap Festival anymore.

With this lot playing earlier in the summer, who do you reckon is the most realistic option for victorious? Potential headliners/special afternoon guests?
I’m very optimistic (overly 🤣) but would be pretty cool to see Sting at victorious! Genuinely do think there are some realistic options here, as well some maybe not so
Lytham is a Festival Republic event so you’re unlikely to get any of them.
-
Prediction Time:
Friday: Noel supported by Kasabian
Sat: Foals supported by Jamie T
Sun: Capaldi supported by Wolf Alice
I know Foals are rumoured to be at R&L but Bastille did both last year. Foals were played so much I think they’ll be there.
Would love The Cure but just can’t see this Festival paying enough.

The caption rules them out: "The band’s only outdoor UK and Irish headline shows for Summer 2023".
Or perhaps this doesn't include festival appearances...??
Think the key word there is headline. They could be playing elsewhere but not headlining…
-
Think Kasabian look certs for this. Are they still big enough to headline without Tom? NGHFB another possibility. Last year was so good for me I’m not sure there’ll be enough to get back this year especially as the likes of Blondie, Bunnymen and Enemy are at IoW.

Manics and Suede touring together in the States. Could they do a co-headline show here?

I have two general admission tickets for Elton John that I now won't be using. We were flying from Northern Ireland and the train strikes over those few days are really putting us off. Not only that but we've just received notice from Easyjet that our return flight has been cancelled. This is the 3rd or 4th booking amendment and we've decided it's not worth the anxiety.
What are my options for selling the tickets? I have checked with AXS and there doesn't seem to be an option to sell back through the official site. Appreciate any advice on this.
Think it depends what ticket delivery method you chose.
if you used Axs Mobile ID think you can transfer the tickets to someone else. You might have to sell them via Twickets or something?

Alright guys, been to Victorious in 2018 and 2019 (missed last year but am back this year and looking forward to it.
Am I right in thinking that Beats and Swing is now in the car park / concrete area next to the toilets and that this is where Andy C will play - if so, I think that will be banging.
Gutted that the Seaside Stage has gone - did i read that this is because of some kind of development / building works?
My main issue is where to stay. Used to stay with friends over in Gosport which was ideal, but they have moved and i have left booking a hotel waaaaay too late and prices are massive. So, i might drive in each day - where would be the best place to park do you reckon - don't mind a bit of a walk or paying a fairly chunky price, but really don't want to get stuck in traffic each day / night. Any thoughts?
If you’re on your own there’s University accommodation still available at a reasonable price.

I stay at Harry Law Halls. It’s a 15/20 minute walk to the Festival (pub en route 😂). It’s pretty basic but has a bed and a bog and shower and is £50 a night.

Honestly no point in the primary entry tickets. Either golden circle east or normal in my opinion.
Agree. Primary entry gets you nowt. If you want to be near the front, I’m afraid you have to sell your house and go for Gold/platinum circle etc.

This isn’t going to happen, is it…

That’s been my argument as well. Some here disagreed because it’s not a stadium show.
I still think Florence And The Machine have to be a favouriteAgreed think Florence would be a good fit for the Stones and there’s not many people too big to support The Stones.
Got tickets for 25th as figured it would be easier as Glasto ticket holders were already sorted. In cattle class unfortunately as £ 250 to be near the front was a bit pricey for me.
Would be very happy if Flo supported.

Richard Ashcroft just announced for South Facing earlier in August. A possible for that slot?

I found the wristbands worked really well last year. I set it on automatic top up and didn’t have a problem all weekend. Was nice to lock all my wallet in the car and not worry about it.
Think it’s more of a question of how much are the traders getting ripped off and where is all your spending data going.
-
Think this Festival requires the dreaded wristbands for cash.
I went once before (in 2016). Was a pretty friendly Festival back then.

Some bad clashes already. Jamie T against Pixies is horrible and Biffy v Wet Leg. Not sure they’ve got them right.
Probably makes it less likely I’ll go as I’d have wanted to see all of them.
