  1. Actually if you arrive by car, before 8am on Wednesday, how do you even get to the box office? If I'm not mistaken, crudely highlighted in blue was where the queue started from the car park to PGA (which is usually 1000's deep hours before the gates open). You can't get through there until they open things up at 8am.

On-site box office location for ticket collection - Glastonbury Festival 2022:

I'm coming over from Holland and need to collect the tickets at a box office on site, but it's unclear where it is.

Also, from what time/day will it be open?

Is the location of the box office still at Gate A (red gate)? I can see a 'Travel Enquiries Cabin' on the map there. And is it possible to just drive there and leave again? I want to park elsewhere.

Thanks if you know, for sure 🙂

Welcome! Best you join the drama over in this thread, quite a few with the same questions -

I do have a rather cool ticket somewhere without my name and photo because of it tho

Yeah, I'm getting a bit anxious now. Like, realistically they've less than 2 weeks to send the remaining tickets which, if the tracker is anywhere near accurate, they still have 60% left. This is in the knowledge that its already taken them 2 or so weeks to issue 40%. I really hope they're not having post pandemic staffing issues...

If they are and they dont issue all the standard tickets in time, they'll probably have to issue a lot more of those blank glasto tickets... and more people in the box office queue too.

Yikes, sorry for the doom and gloom!

Hope see tickets are doing overtime shifts and continuing to process tickets over this public holiday and weekend. Ok Royal Mail not collecting but it would make sense to get as many ready as possible for Mondays pick up.  They must know how nervous folk get as the days pass.

    Yep.

If we're hoping to receive tickets by the Friday before the festival (which for us is necessary as we're getting a Ferry across first thing Monday 20th), and let's say it takes 3 days to get door to door, they've 60% of the tickets left to issue in a little over a week. If we've roughly 130k public tickets, that's 80k tickets left to send. Circa. 120k if we go off the overall attendance figure...

I dont want to set off alarm bells but I'm really hoping they have everything under control and this isn't a post pandemic staffing issue.

I'd love to know how the percentage tracker lines up against previous years. Feels like they're running far tighter than before.

  5. Do See Tickets keep posting over the weekend? With the holidays in the UK over the next 2 days, I'm wondering do I write of my chances of dispatch until Monday the 6th.

But what if the other festivals and her record labels used the same reductive reasoning as 'there ain't no smoke without fire?'

What if they are craven and dropped her for fear of a backlash irregardless if she is pro-putin and/or pro-war or not?

Mate you're posing what-if's with no substantial evidence in the contrary to what I've put forward. As I said, if this is all a misunderstanding, fantastic! Why doesn't see clarify it?

Reductive reasoning? No, her record label reached out to her - as a business partner - to discuss the claims privately. Here's their statement as to how things went -

    https://clone.nl/blog/trip/

    Some highlights:

"In the past, even after the annexation of the Crimea, Nina Kraviz has put forward several outings which can be taken as pro-Putin. Moreover she has clearly been flirting with CCCP/USSR-sentiments on several occasions, while the USSR was a regime that has stood for the oppression of minorities, has marginalised the LGBTQ+ communities, a regime which murdered millions of people! On Nina’s latest, upcoming compilation-album “All His Decisions” also a number of signs of USSR-flattery are to be found. This is raising questions that, in the light of the current Russian aggression, cannot be ignored."

"Of course it is her right to keep quiet as she chooses, but as a business partner we want to know what’s going on and what standpoint we should expect her to take on the situation. She however ignored personal requests to talk, moreover having her label manager giving unsatifying answers and poor excuses for not speaking out and not wanting to communicate in general. The communications with her label manager I considered rather manipulative, and her stances were being put forward in vague Putin-esque expressions like “she want’s peace” or “Of course she is against War”, wilfully lacking any meaningful conditions (Does she want Ukraine to surrender to put the war to a stop? Does she want Peace under Putin’s terms?). "

let's dump her in some water. If she floats she is pro-putin and the war and we will burn her at the stake.

If she drowns she is anti-putin and the war. She may be dead but she will have won over some strangers on the the internet

I hear this is how her record label made the decision to drop her.

It's one thing to be supportive, it's another to be blind to what's in front of you.

Even if you don't believe any of the claims against her - which is absolutely fine - surely you can see how from a PR persepective, it doesn't look good for Glastonbury Festival when in the last month three music festivals and her own record label have dropped her over these alleged views?

You are being misleading here. She was in favour of an oligarch being imprisoned for corruption. Putin pardoned him and up until the start of the Ukraine war he was living the highlife in Switzerland and England

    The Nadia claims are hearsay

    No, I'm not.

    Re: Khodorkovsky -

"Khodorkovsky, the oil tycoon who was once one of the richest men in Russia, was arrested in 2003 and charged with fraud and money laundering aftre a televised meeting with Putin in which he accused high-level Kremlin officials of corruption. The case was widely denounced as politically motivated, and, after nearly a decade in prison, Amnesty International declared him a prisoner of conscience. In 2015, just two days after calling a revolution in Russia “inevitable and necessary,” Khodorkovsky was charged in absentia with involvement in two murders"

    Re: Pro-Putin -

"But Kraviz has also shown some tacit support for Putin over the years. In April 2014, a month after Russia’s annexation of Crimea, she posted a photo on Instagram of herself smiling and holding a cardboard cut-out of Putin holding a gun with a flower coming out of the barrel. (A representative for Kraviz told TIME after this article’s publication that a flower coming out of a gun is a symbol of peace and added, “We would suggest that you contact the festival to ask why they supplied these cut-outs.”) In 2016, Kraviz tweeted a meme of Putin at a rave, writing, “Don’t underestimate a Russki.” (Kraviz’s representative wrote that “The text and meme of this tweet had nothing to do with each other.)"

    Re Nadia -

Yes it's hearsay but it's also hearsay in the context of the above and other things such as being dropped from her record label for her, again, alleged being Pro-Putin.

    https://www.nme.com/news/music/russia-dj-nina-kraviz-dropped-from-clone-distribution-over-alleged-pro-putin-views-3227208

Maybe it's all a misunderstanding. Fantastic if it is.

However until things are clarified, shes going to have that cloud hanging over her. Unfortunately and ultimately, that cloud is going to become Glastonbury's when she brings it along with her to the farm in a few weeks time.

As mentioned in my original post, the general consensus is that there is no evidence to state that she is Pro-War. Plenty here stating they haven't seen much to make a judgement (as I did also) so here's the original video that began my change in thinking -

This is a segment from the film on Mikhail Khodorkoysky an exiled Russian businessman / Oligarch , who fell foul of Vladimir Putin. Have a read, particularly the section on his relationship with Putin:

     https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikhail_Khodorkovsky

When Nina was addressed on this a few years later in an interview, she effectively confirmed that her opinion has not changed and rather she now just keeps it to herself rather than argue with the more liberal minded. Full text attached below.

Now fast forward to more recently, we have videos of her performing at private parties for Russian Oligarchs as well as fellow DJs making pretty strong claims, the most pointed of which coming from Ukrainian DJ Nadia who claims that in a conversation with her in 2014 regarding the annexation of Crimea, she states that Putin was "the smartest man".

This is the context that changed my position on her. I went from "I'm not just going to believe a few social media comments" to "actually, there are direct quotes and comments from Nina that substantiate the claims against her".

I'm not going to go as far as saying she is Pro-War (even the phrase is silly, is anyone really Pro-War?) but I do believe she is Pro-Russian state, was Pro-Putin at least up until very recently and may very well be someone who considers the invasion of Ukraine a "special military operation" rather than the outright war that is.

These are the reasons I believe her addition to the lineup is in poor taste and personally think she'll be removed from the lineup before the festival.

@FloorFiller Here's the context I found a few months back...

TL:DR - she's on record as being pro-Russian state and pro-Putin in the past (specifically around a Russian Oliyarch that fell foul of Putin & in the comments Nadia claims she made to her regarding the annexation of Crimea in 2014).

Maybe she's changed her view's since but unfortunately there's nothing to indicate she has. She's also on record as stating that she now keeps her political comments to herself as a result of the blacklash she has recieved.

Personally, I still think it's a bad look to have her booked which has been made all the worse by the backdrop of other festivals that have dropped her in the meantime.

As the saying goes, there's no smoke without fire so I'm applying occam's razor on this one.

I am eagerly waiting for the Worthy view email... And even maybe the parking ticket in the post. That one still showed as to be delivered by post. Am having a bit of a moment realising that it's only in three weeks and I had stuff sent from the UK that took longer than that (parcels though).

Hopefully all goes well for all of us, and we can report and laugh about it after the fest... * cross fingers*

Either that or there'll be an impromptu efest meet in the box office queue 😂

I changed mine to delivery too after seeing that you did, but they did also tell me if I wanted to pick them up, that if I showed my booking at the car park, they would let me in to park and collect...whether this has been explicitly communicated to the stewards at the car park entrances is another matter mind you! (mine still haven't been posted yet, so I may end up collecting them after all!).

Yeah, really didn't consider how fine See Tickets were going to leave delivery. That said, the chap at customs did give me phone to contact in the case that tickets are held up. I'll be DMing it to anyone who has trouble!

How are yous getting your car park tickets? We're collecting the main entry tickets at the box office but assume the car park tickets will need to be posted?

We contacted them to update everything from box office to delivery but probably didn't anticipate how fine See Tickets were going to be on delivery.

Having contacted Irish customs yesterday, I'm slightly concerned that they may get further delayed if See Tickets didn't correctly complete the (rather complicated) customs declaration form (thanks Brexit). So for the moment it's fingers crossed, we might still be left trying to blag our way in to the car park to pick up our parking & festival tickets!

They are pushing this a bit fine, maybe they'll get in a couple more printers next week to clear them all out

Fine indeed. Including today, they've only got 18 days until the week of the festival... 11 when you exclude bank holidays and weekends.

  15. Tell me about it. You've also got the 2 uk bank holidays for the jubilee this Thursday & Friday and a Bank holiday in Ireland next Monday.

It's starting to cut it very close for us given we depart on the 20th and we've got this potential brexit customs issue that might delay the tickets even further (mentioned a few comments back).

Box office collection for me. Didnt even think about switching to shipping when that option came about. One less thing to worry about. Like I can forget my wellies, but I cant forget my ticket.

We've 3 car parking tickets across our gang... we weren't sure how we were going to get to the box office at PGA without them.

I can't say with full confidence that if i was a famous russian i would be speaking out about what's going on personally. I don't mind her being booked, she's not come out in favour of it.

You might politely opt out of playing private events for Russian Oligarchs during covid though

  18. See tickets defo watching this thread - one of our gang has just been updated from delivery to box office without notice! 😂

*Edit - cancel that, looks like that was just for the bottle #BottleGate

Oh god, I'm starting to regret changing to Delivery now !  I was beginning to get a bit worried about timings BEFORE I read your update, now I'm really worried.

On a related note, I got a thing from An Post through the door last Thursday saying I had to pay a custom charge on something before it would be released (first time it had happened TBH).  I paid it straight away but it still hasn't been released 4 working days on!  Doesn't inspire confidence in their automated system.

Keep the faith - here's hoping they'll come through no problem and sure if they don't, I suppose we're just back to square one and see tickets will have to make the tickets available at the box office.

  20. Double posting this here in case any of the Irish Contigent miss it in the International Contingent thread... If anyone based in Ireland (ROI) has had their tickets dispatched, I think the rest of us would be keen to hear the updates 🥴

    ----

Right so, who wants the bad news?

Curiosity got the better of me so I rang customs... No Irish duty is due on the tickets so they should be sent through to peoples addresses. HOWEVER, An Post moved to an automated system for checking customs duties which they told me may flag the envelope depending on how See Tickets have declared them. An incorrect declaration might mean tickets get automatically sent back to See Tickets or they could end up stuck in customs for a few weeks.

Tbf to the chap on the phone, he was very helpful but I think we all need to collectively pray to the ticket Gods now.

    Fingers & toes crossed people...
