  1. Noname playing Manchester Academy and Eventim Apollo on 4th and 6th Feb ‘24
  2. I got an email today from Songkick (I believe) confirming King Gizzard are headlining Wide Awake 2024. apparently only those who bought Early Bird tix are getting told the headliner first so prob won’t be confirmed for a couple days
  3. this is indeed a Tour Announcement and Upcoming Gig
  4. album release shows generally are about an hour, give or take. but at the price of the ticket I’d be hoping for a good 90 mins
  5. Foxing are doing a 10-year anniversary of The Albatross in January 2024. from what I can see, they’re hitting London, Brighton, Newcastle, Manchester, Dublin, Edinburgh
  6. Brian Eno is doing his first solo tour. Performing two shows at the Southbank Centre on October 30th.
  7. on Central Tickets there’s a £10 offer for James Burton and friends at the Palladium tomorrow night (Sunday 4th). guests include Brian May, Van Morrison, Albert Lee and others. just need to sign up for free to scoop
  8. I second all the things about Friendly Fires remaining a brilliant live act. Ed’s dancing is kinda like if Future Islands wasn’t so much a spectator sport also just had this ad come up. don’t know if this is a smaller, one-off intimate show or if this is simply the size of venue they can book after everything that has come out in recent years. they’ve done Brixton the last two times they came here
  9. Genesis Owusu is playing Heaven, London on November 15th. new album out in August. his show at the Underworld is by far the sweatiest, most entertaining show i’ve been to in recent memory. feel like big things are coming his way
  10. Tickets on sale now. about £43 https://songkick.seetickets.com/event/levi-s-presents-rolling-loud-in-london/koko/2649441?pref1=41098757&aff=id1songkick
  11. Just stumbled upon this on the EYOE website. Hoping this signals a full UK tour
  12. that is certainly a festival that is happening tbf he is at least an arena artist, which is more than Jungle are (currently). Olivia Dean is the only artist to have sold out their Somerset House show this summer (I think) and that includes Interpol, Young Fathers and Beabadoobee. which is something. but i mean, rough…
  13. speaking as a Jungle fan - saw them twice on their most recent album tour - even i find this baffling. even simply comparing this to the Gorillaz/Tame Impala group from last year, it seems like a reach. great live act but they don’t strike me as a band that 40k people would base an August weekend day around
  14. Haha same here!! No idea why it is like this. Quite nice though, i’ve gone and made a cup of tea, done some housework, come back and found i’ve moved forward about 90 places into my 1500-deep queue
  15. Christine and the Queens’ Meltdown lineup has been announced. He’s performing twice meanwhile Warpaint, Bat for Lashes and Sigur Rós & the LCO are doing shows. i’m definitely trying for tickets for serpentwithfeet and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs Lineup
  16. yeah I got very lucky with two tickets for Heaven! thrilled tbh! Big Thief are playing Chalk, Brighton on 13th April. NxWorries (Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge) at O2 Institute Birmingham on 30th May
  17. gah I hate how easily won over I am by this type of mystery! Ryder just seems like a weird thing to obscure. like, pop-y stuff is not uncommon at this fest. and it is v early on to drop a surprise that people have months to speculate over. makes me think it could be a launch of a side project - like A Blaze of Feather at Latitude. anyway probably the wrong forum for this ramble. great line-up though!!
  18. Weyes Blood touring in November. Glasgow, Leeds, Nottingham and the Eventim Apollo doubling as a spotlight show for P4K Festival
  19. M83 at the Roundhouse on June 29th. first quarter of their new album dropped today and sounding pretty good. a return to the farm beckons surely
  20. What are the chances they’d get Paolo to headline/play a sunset slot? I’d imagine it would be quite likely, especially as he wasn’t there for 2022. I mean, he is no Beyoncé…
  21. that’s wild!! i’ve been a big Louis Cole fan for about five years but i’ve never seen a lineup where he is even close to top billing, let alone on the same level as Capaldi! hell, to be above YYYs is completely unfathomable to me. just goes to show how popular some artists can be in different regions
  22. not the kind of RENAISSANCE the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was needing to see this year
  23. one of the more baffling events in recent months was hearing that the lead singer of Two Door co-wrote a song with Ariel Pink and the banjo Mumford son about the Hunter Biden laptop story disappointingly it does not sound like it is destined to get the flares out on the main stage at Reading anytime soon
  24. love the new single. and will take one on the chin for the Ally Pally gig. also read today that when The National played The O2 back in 2014 (I think), they had Sufjan Stevens on keyboard duties!
