Have Yo La Tengo ever done a 100% covers set before? If so, what sort of stuff did they play?
-
It’s quite funny that after all the moaning about The National, they are giving us even more The National.
-
Why do people think it’s the National? Admittedly looking on a small phone but can’t see enough of the name crossed out to reach that conclusion.
-
More choice than in the older years but not as good quality as the recent years.
-
I dunno. Moon Safari is a good album certainly but there was a time where you couldnt walk into a cafe without hearing it and got played to death!
-
Finally!
-
Oh man, I agree so much. They have some good tracks since but there was a sweet spot after those two albums where their gigs were so, so good.
-
Upfront times are unbelievably rare - don't think I've ever come across that. And Primavera could tell us who is playing each stage and the Clashfinder would still get almost all the clashes wrong!
-
Personally I think Primavera are far, far from the worst offenders at revealing the timetable in a timely way. In fact I'd say they are pretty good here and also they have a far more complex scheduling than most.
-
One of my highlights was when they did the secret gigs you had to get a token for. Forgot which year. Saw Pond with about 20 other people and it was a free bar all night!
-
Atarashii Gakko could be similar. Think is their first ever gig in Europe.
-
Great choices. RIP Jane Birkin.
-
This is the best one-dayer I've seen so far.
-
Sunny Day Real Estate? Or Real Estate even?
-
When are we expecting some more names?
-
I agree but you don't have 3 hour queues without some interest in the Ciutat concept. Julia Holter was alright last year - she's is a bit of a subdued performer these days for my tastes.
-
You can say people don't care about it but in 2022 it was ABSOLUTELY RAMMED.
-
There's no way all the time delay is just because of one band (let alone that one band being Slowdive).
-
Yeah, to torture us. That or a problem with one of the venues they were planning on using. Sounds like Razzmatazz is out this year and I doubt they can use Poble Espanol.
-
Believe the longest we had to wait in the past for Ciutat to trickle out was 1 hour or 2. This weekend we are at the 2 month mark.
-
Wouldn’t surprise me if I prefer the Ciutat lineup to Coachella’s one…
-
I am struggling with how bad the large US festivals are this year. Stinking the place out...
-
Coachella had been waiting on No Doubt. Hilarious!
-
Prob not relevant but the Slowdive February gig has just sold out.

Admittedly a good while ago now but still seems amazing to me that I once paid €100 for a VIP ticket. If I want to buy one today, they're currently €550. And the old one came with unlimited beer included!
