  1. Wax tailor was completely new to me and am always open to something outside my realm of knowledge.  But although it was interesting in parts it didn't massively grab me . Will give it a listen again but couldn't imagine I'd go and watch at a festival although may drop in briefly.

Tracy Chapman I haven't listened to for many years . I have album on cassette somewhere but had forgotten what a phenomenal album it is .

When it first appeared it was my album of the year ..1988 I think . Still sounds fresh and relevant and yes I'd be there in a heartbeat if I ever had chance to see Tracy live

  2. 2016

    2019

    2017

    Didn't go to 2015 .

2016 was first so despite the mud everything was new and exciting . It was a slog at times and took me a week to get over.  But saw more music than other years and overall quality across the board was best of the three ....even in terms of the clashes missed some great stuff but saw some stunning performances.

The brexit vote was shit but seemed to give a lot of people a common sense of togetherness in the Glastonbury bubble .

2017 probably suffered in my view because I compared it to 2016 . 2019 was great again but was far to hot that sat afternoon was a killer

Ah, so you're a 'people who pretend they don’t like ABBA' man then?!

I have always liked abba but that like has reduced enormously over recent years because of those god awful films and the musical .

Fortunately Queen musicals haven't had same impact because I didn't like them from start

  4. I enjoyed the lets eat grandma album thanks for recommendation.

    Its not just me

    Ava

Donnie darko  were tracks that stood out .

I've only listened to second album once through but will give it couple more goes to see if it grows .

Being boiled is the best thing the Human League recorded.  Everything after is ok, I guess, but never reached that height again.

Dare is a great album and no idea why only don't you want me is ever played.

Reproduction is also a great album with the best version of being boiled

  6. I'm in on this will open me to stuff I've not heard good idea .

On Betty boo remember walking into hmv in Liverpool early 90s thinking whats the crowd for . There is Betty making a personal appearance she was tiny .

On subject of the fabulous klf they finally opened up some of their music on Spotify a couple of weeks ago

  7. Watched zero zero zero over weekend . Worth a watch obviously some suspension of belief with some plot holes . Story set across Italy Mexico and USA all in relevant languages.

Mexican element of story perhaps most interesting.

Lead me on to finally start watching gomorrah as same writers managed 4 episodes of 1st series so far enjoying it . Similar drug cartel elements but purely in naples this one .

One thing that seems to be slipping under the radar is the excellent take up and demand for the vaccine - even at this early stage.

Appreciate they’re offering these to the most vulnerable so we could have expected higher take up numbers, but I did expect many would be put off by the speed it was created etc and worry about potential effects, but it appears and looks like demand is very high and they can’t get them into peoples arms fast enough!
My brother (mid 20s but frontline NHS) was adamant he wasn’t going to get it, but has since changed his mind and is booked in tomorrow. He said a lot of his team have also had the same change of opinion.

Good to hear my wife who works in NHS had hers last week and my brother also NHS is booked on for his . More and more people I know are keen to get theirs done hearing very little resistance from colleagues etc about take up

  10. Can't say I won't be gutted if I don't have the chance to go in 2022 but do understand the sense in letting those who have tickets rolled over .

I couldn't go in 2020 so didn't try when they originally went on sale but would have been trying for 21 and 22 unfortunately doesn't look 21 will happen and 22 is gone probably if tickets roll over . But good luck to all who have got them you lucky people .

I know its been a long wait but imagine how good it will be for you all when it happens.

Almost one million people in the U.K. have been vaccinated against a disease we didn’t even know existed really this time last year.

Pretty mental to think about and let’s hope it continues getting faster and faster in the weeks ahead!!!

I got tested again rapid test right by my work . I was thinking fuck me who would have thought this time last year I would be getting a test for a disease I'd never heard of 12 months ago

Shows it isn't just a weekday operation as some suggested on here yesterday with them being given it on a Saturday!

I assumed that were possible this would happen i had flu jab couple of months back on a sat at short notice . I thought this maybe part of a plan ahead of the now approved vaccines

  13. I can totally understand those with less chance of getting it not bothering.  Tbh I've been offered flu vaccine last few years but this is first time I took it up . But I'm definitely taking this when offered due to my age and underlying condition.

Hopefully it will work itself out number wise across the population

most of my friends and family are more than happy to take it ... nursing sister was wavering but is now having it .... parents said they would be first in line .... 1 friend who is anti vax , anti mask and anti lockdown won't be along with a couple of contacts I also know ... I think most will quietly take it once they see other people taking it not growing 2 heads etc ... the ones that won't will be the ones making the most noise

Yes I think a few of the doubters I've come across are probably likely to have it once they realise those around them who've had it are ok . I haven't come across any vehemently opposed yet...

  15. What sort of opinions are you getting from those around you on uptake of vaccines.  I'm pleased to say that most of my family seem more than happy to have a vaccine when their time arrives.

I have been slightly surprised by the reluctance of some of my friends and colleagues.  They are not so much anti vaccine but just say they don't intend to have it

Whilst I appreciate lots of people may not take it up I have perhaps naively been surprised by some around me .

To be honest, if people are getting it for free, they’ll be unlikely to have a choice of vaccines (you don’t get a choice of flu shots unless you are a kid and they give you a different one, but there’s a few manufacturers of the adult one and you just get whatever one your GP or pharmacist has in stock). As more data accrues (remember, what we are talking about at the moment is emergency use), then different vaccines for different cohorts will become more likely. There’ll be further development too, nasal delivery will most certainly be looked at.

I assumed that was case when my gp gives me the shout I don't expect they would be saying do u want a b or c I just thought they would say do u want covid vaccine
