Not seen the film but if you are looking forward to it and are a musical fan it may worth reminding yourself of the reviews for the greatest showman and Mama Mia compared against their raging popularity. Personally will give it a miss despite being a musical fan as have not seen the stage show

But completely justified reviews mama Mia has dented but not killed my fondness for ABBA how anyone thinks it's worth watching is beyond me . The greatest  shitman is a heaping turd fest of a film that has no redemption.

Although I have to say I'm not a musicals fan in anyway

  2. Unfortunately not there next year but I can't understand why anyone who is lucky enough would not be watching him .

It's the 50th Glastonbury it's a Beatle its macca it's a no brainer just go or you'll regret it .

    You lucky people

  3. Made peace with not going been extremely lucky to try and get tickets for last 3 but just can't do it this time.  Big birthday for my wife and we are doing more things to celebrate that and that both negates are time and money . But as ticket day approaches feel like I'm missing out . But I will be back ticket gods allowing in next 2 years .

Trying to avoid coming on here as I'll be so jealous when the scramble begins .

To all of you who want to go best of luck on ticket day . To anyone trying for first time if you are successful you are in for one of the highlights of your life .

We got there just as they were walking out in stage and were stood to the left as you look at the stage out by the arches.

Surrounded by c**ts who apparently had paid 40 quid to have conversations with each other.

I thought it was just us.  We were to left of stage about half way back . Dickheads talked loudly for first 20 mins saying wish they play something I know .

We moved forward and then were surrounded by even more pricks talking for the whole gig and I mean the whole gig .

They started jumping up and down for day I die and bumped into me few times no problem it's a gig just go with it but then one of them said sorry for bumping into you . I just had to say I'm not bothered about that it's the fact you've all talked for last 90 mins that's pissed me off .

As u say 40 quid to talk go the fucking bar .

Band were great it should have been better but crowd were shite

It really is a treat. An album-like journey with zero filler that still managed to be daring even with a big pop finish.

Being haunted by that version of Disintegration. Driving, that's the word. Maybe relentless.

I've watched full set couple of times watched the version of disintegration lost its mesmerising

  8. Johnny marr instead of Janet Jackson.  Thought I haven't seen Janet for 30 odd years make the effort  this time she was really poor .

Also don't know who clashed with mylie but wish I'd seen them . Just couldn't be bothered moving after kylie and was always planning to see vampire weekend.

But overall I enjoyed what I saw this year planned and unplanned

I'm half way through watching it now truly magnificent. So glad I was there definitely my favourite headline set of the ones I've seen .

I am just rewatching it on iPlayer... it was fantastic at the time, but watching again on tv is making me realise how absolutely sublime it was.

Have downloaded but not had chance to watch yet will watch over weekend

Hi I used to go mountford hall in the late 70's early 80's remember seeing the Cure but I always thought Wah Heat and Bauhaus supported Magazine, maybe you are right and I am wrong it would be good to get a full list of all the acts that played there, dates as well because I saw so many bands at that time. Happy days

No bauhaus and wah supported the cure . Was first time I heard a forest live .

1st time i saw magazine was at the empire and they were supported by simple minds .

Mountford hall was great loads of top gigs there .

    Buzzcocks supported by joy division

    Specials with dexys and selector

Undertones so many great concerts....a long time ago ?

I stand corrected you are right I just looked it was magazine with bauhaus and wah .

The cure were supported by the passions.

Blimey I'm older than I thought

  12. 3rd time at wv car park is great hill is hard work after 12 plus hours on your feet but always stop at strummerville for a break . Definitely more tents in wv than 16 and 17 shower queues were bigger but we just get by cant be bothered wueing for an hour .

The toilet queues in morning were something I hadn't really noticed b4 but volunteers were great keeping them clean and stocked with loo roll .

The pros definitely outway the cons won't be at festival next year to much else on but will use wv next time I go .

Loved her, but we are big fans anyway, we’ll worth checking out , she’s added dancers and great backing vocals so the performance has become more powerful. Wished the set could have been longer but she’s touring this autumn so will see her in Glasgow

I will catch her on tour I hope
