Rip the legend Terry Hall was gutted to hear this news this morning. The specials have always been one of the great live bands . A truly sad sad loss

Aye was humming and haaing with the ticket options myself; glad I decided quickly as they're all gone now!
2023 is already turning into a hell of a year for me. Three big bucket list acts (Blur, Pulp, Damien Rice) alongside Jockstrap and King Gizz, with Glasto thrown in for good measure!
Off to Damien rice in Manchester seen him on his last 2 tours ....which are about every 7 / 8 years so gotta go when you can .
He's phenomenal live you'll enjoy it . Just hoping the new album will be great

What am I missing here? Thought it was pretty widely accepted that Future Islands are great live. Last album was a bit of a step down IMO but the singles they've released since then are cracking.
Saw future islands on recent tour and on jp stage last time they were there . I'm In great live act group . Plus I actually really liked last album

Never managed to see Damien Rice. Every time he tours (which is rare) I can't make the date or don't manage to get tickets. Same this time with the Manchester date. 😞 Hope he crops up at G, that would be a real bonus.
Yep hope so this'll be 3rd time but must be in 12 13 years it's a rare thing indeed

Beth orton Royal Northern college of music sat.
First time I've been there nice venue .
Surprised for a music college thought sound was a bit off . Beth relied heavily on new album which is a good album .
Enjoyable gig if very low key

Mortimer and whitehouse is like a haven of calm and tranquility just two men heading for old age enjoying each others company laughing chewing the fat .
It's perfect TV for me .

Self entitled twats sitting on people's shoulders, ruining the view for the people behind. Kids are allowed & people getting up to take a quick photo is OK, but people getting up for 3 or 4 songs at a time can fucking do one!
100% agree ruin it for those around them plus god knows what the poor twat who is Carrying them is feeling .
They are always filming themselves as well .
Was watch Diana b4 some doing exactly this I was thinking watch the fucking legend instead of thinking about you you and you

I know elbow not everyone's cup of tea but they were in perfect slot there with lovely weather. The end with imal the puppet and the refugee choir was beautiful bought a tear to my eye

I remember dodging him completely that year. Confirmed from friends (who love that kinda music I'd made the right decision) and saw Pendulum/Franz Ferdinand.
At least there was some energy on the Other than night.
When can seeing franz ferdinand ever be the right decision
