One year I found the acoustic crew bar. I'm sure it had a pool table. Last year I had 3 separate stewards tell me it doesn't exist. Can someone help me find it again this year, or am I actually mad?

It certainly exists, it’s in the field behind the Acoustic tent ... you head up the lane with the Acoustic tent on your right, it’s about 50 yards past it on the right. It’s imaginatively called “The Pub in a Field” with a sign with a cow on it. Last year it had live music, but sadly no pool table. I was working Cockmill last year, and it was a regular post shift haunt.

pound and a half brick hammer should do it. don't forget to upgrade the pegs though, a cheap wire peg will just bend if you skelp it.

    ** camping geek alert **

You need high tensile steel pegs if the grounds brick hard. Beware of ones calling themselves “heavy duty” which, unless they are high tensile steel, are usually anything but.

  3. What @EFC1996 said. You can’t expect to grab a portion of prime real estate in Big Ground (for example) and tell other early arrivals (who have probably been queuing specifically to get a good spot) you’re saving it for later arrivals. If you choose one of the further out sites it should be ok.

Soltan kids factor 50 is the best Ive ever had. It's like war paint, horrible stuff, but it only needs topping up every hour or 2, rather than every 10 minutes.

The biggest myth in the world is this stuff. Expensive & had horrendous sunburn from it.

Do not buy!! Massive rip off.

I use this stuff, it’s superb.

good luck to all ... whatever the weather you can mitigate it somewhat ..... best thing for me has been a floppy hat doused under the taps .... also do the same with my t-shirt on occasion ..... gives temporary respite but does help me

I soak a bandana and put it on, same principal.

OK a little 2023 update. Mostly cosmetic but I reduced a couple of distances. Remember it's estimates and that roundings may make look things funny, but it's more readable than 4.625 and 5.365 minutes this way. First, the average one, then the up tempo one, and finally the nightmare scenario.

Great work.... you might want to change Williams Green to Meeting Point or Carhenge for newbies though.

I always liked Bushy Ground. High, flat and always loads of room. Loos like we'll be in Darble this year as some of us are cycling and although want to camp with the rest of the gang, they want to be close to the showers. Anyone have any Darble experience? I assumed it gets full quickly as it is right by an entrance.

I’ve camped in Darble three times, and you can rest easy, despite being the nearest to Gate A, it’s one of the last to fill up (and doesn’t really get really full). Think that’s down to it being so far out, and the furthest point to get to from the SE corner. It’s quiet, and suits me, but it’s not really a spot you want to pop back to during the day.

Not good.  Mine are somewhere in the post office system but tracker not working yet.

So for reference, See tracker updated a Wednesday to say dispatched, I got the eMail on Thursday, Royal Mail tracker came to life yesterday, received today around 25 minutes ago.

Hopefully ticket will be quickly redirected to your local sorting office, it might have to go back to Edinburgh hub first. At least you can follow progress on tracker and it’s in Scotland.

Well, despite a scenic detour around East Lothian, my ticket has arrived! Yippee!

My tickets were dispatched on Friday and the tracker has just kicked in saying they are in Nottingham. Should be with me tomorrow.

Mine dispatched Thursday.... and same here, tracker has just kicked in saying in Nottingham, delivery tomorrow ! Was beginning to get slightly concerned. Seems to me there’s a definite and significant delay between the See dispatch and Royal Mail receipt.

Churnups > Fred Again > Arctics is gonna be a popular path for a lot of people I’m sure. Imagine the crowds moving between those stages will be a bit mental.

Think I’ve got an hour to get to West Holts for Young Fathers after Churnups.... which may even allow time for a swift pint/bite to eat.

    Well...

Frustratingly none of the headliners are pushing my buttons, so a few of us are headliner-free that night (likely Fever Ray Friday and defo Phoenix Sunday...). Plan atm is Kid Kapichi in Leftfield (or Ezra Collective on WH, damn you, Glastonbury!) before heading up to Lonely Hearts for the first half of the night, then to the SEC for the second half.

It's sometimes quite liberating not having a 'proper' headliner set that you want to see!

    Ben

Can see the Free Press Saturday headline now.....
