Just got an Oxfam place!!! However when filling in the about me section, it’s saying I need to attend a training day however they’re all after the festival?

Congrats! You need to ring the office first thing and see what they can do for you.

There's currently no plan to provide a poster of food vendors, but the info points should be able to find a name, but probably not the cuisine. I got a reply back.

Thank you for your email. We have over 500 food traders onsite therefore providing Festival goers with a list is not helpful as they cover such a large geographical area and are labelled by market name so unless you were familiar with all the markets, it could prove difficult find them. There are 5 Festival Information points across the site who will have access to a list of traders should you be looking for something specific.

When I tried this the information point staff didn't know where the particular market areas where - so whilst they could tell me the trader I was looking for was in Saxon (I think), they couldn't tell me where Saxon was.

I thanked them and turned to walk off - at which point I saw the place I was looking for opposite the information point...

Right....I’ve had a look this morning and my training is booked for the online session on Thursday 20th June at 1830! Glad that’s sorted!

What happens now, when do I hear about shifts and what else I need to do?

Arrival info emails went out yesterday so I imagine you'll have that soon. If you want to DM me an email address I'll forward mine if you like.

You should also get an email about the training soon with details of how to log on.

You'll find out your shifts when you register on site.

    That’s a shame.

My eyesight isn’t as good as it used to be. Perhaps you could make a hi-res version available to help me and those with similar eyesight problems. Which we wouldn’t, of course, use to get t-shirts printed. I am sure that we all would, totally unconnected, be happy to drop in a donation to Festival Welfare Services.

Yeah, I'm definitely not going to both of those things later.

Anyone got a recommendation for a t-shirt printing service for when I don't do it?

    Nice work @deadstillstanding

I am trying really to be relevant, but I really have no idea what any of that means.  At all.

The sad reality has finally dawned on me that I am a fat middle aged man trying to be cool

... I bet I still drink more beer at Glasto than of the cool kids though...

I'm fat and middle aged and will def drink more than the cool kids.

And The Wire is single handedly the best thing that's every been on TV. Middle aged fatness is no barrier to such brilliance.

visual ping and see tickets page comes up with only 3 extra reg spaces

Hasn't it always had three reg spaces? Certainly has for me (apart from the blip when they all disappeared)

Thanks for the replies... that's put my mind at rest.

Any tips on keeping the ticket safe? I've heard a few people say keep it in the lanyard pouch. I'm still not sure about this, as I could lose it when I'm checking band/stage times, especially after a few beers!

Keep it in the lanyard, perfectly safe. Print out Clashfinder for stage times, usually more accurate with last minute changes.

New stuff from Jarvis on 6music now, plus an interview. His name band Jarv Is. Sounds bonkers, but quite liking it. Surely surely surely he has to pop up on the line-up?

It's good isn't it? I'd be very surprised if he isn't there. Made for a Park appearance.

It wasn't that for Brighton. Tickets £43 each including fees and postage.

Sorted via Live Chat. Thanks for the heads up.

Those that have presale codes, link is already working as I just bought tickets for Brighton.

FFS, preordered ages ago, not had a code. Is it single use?

  11. Put like this... Let someone in on a ticket that blatantly isn't theirs and they turn out to be a mystery shopper... That's the steward potentially losing their own place at the festival, their £250 deposit and not being allowed to volunteer in the future.

    Those protein powders aren't cheap.

The brekkie tacos in Williams Green for example are 4 quid. Theres similar elsewhere. Thats 20 quid for brekkie for 5 days.

Usually go to Strumpets as normally in West CV, but Williams Green will be closer to me this year. What's the stall called please?
