"An Avon and Somerset police spokesman said that apart from the shootings the festival had been a peaceful event."

    Technically, correct

You can see peeled, faded stickers from years gone past on cars around the country.  It always cheers me up when I see one.

Love it. Won't take my old one off until I get my new one at the CV gate. The fallow year has proved tricky keeping it stuck there for two years...

(mind you, I'm volunteering this year so may have to leave it in place for a third year. The sun has faded all the detail on it, but I guess if you recognise the shape...)

Never been to anything here before but it does sound very appealing. Is there any toilets up there or do you have to trek back down to the bottom of the hill? Unfortunately I do have to take this into consideration due to not having the strongest bladder

There's usually an intricate drainpipe latrine running down the fence line down the hill if I remember right

Is there any food in West?

There's the usual bogstandard van near the entrance gate. Nowhere near the quality of the majority of stalls inside the festival.

  5. One of our group took her almost 13yr old daughter one year. Took a colour photocopy of her passport but was never asked for ID. We were in the CV fields too, so there were multiple entry/exits through security.

note this is a ' old map ' as I cant find the one from 2017 but I was sent a copy but I cant find it { or others } and I am sure someone will post it soon -  hang on ' they may even post the 2019 map

the main change ' only affects Avalon workers ' is the campsite is not in that location - its moved since then - don't worry they will fill you in.

Cheers, so it looks like you could be working in some pretty good places

Someone posted on here one year about seeing the members of hot chip carrying their gear up there (at a time they were there with solo projects). I never did find out if that actually happened

I didn't post it, but it did happen (2014). Ended up sat in front of Alexis doing his solo set whilst Joe was sat backstage/behind the tent tapping his toe and drinking tea.

    Crows Nest is brilliant

Yeah, definitely. Worth adding that Yannis said part 1 was vibey (or some similar word, can't remember) and part 2 is bangers. Hopefully that indicates a conscious style split and not just the leftovers on part 2.

Well if yer man doesn't consider part 1 to be full of bangers, Lord knows what's going to happen to my speakers when I stick part 2 on them later in the year

    Hey everyone,

    Longtime lurker, newbie poster.

I got an Oxfam shift yesterday (yay!). Now I wasn't fully aware of the training requirement (dumb I know) and wanted to know if anyone had any experience of not being able to make this? I live in Singapore and will be arriving in the home in the UK the Sunday before the festival.

Should be an option to book onto an online course?
