In fairness Scotland aren’t winning anything with any combination of Scottish players.

Indeed. For your benefit, I don’t expect Scotland to win the World Cup with or without McTominay.

I reckon he’s more likely to keep getting a game for Scotland of the two but hopefully not at the back.

Been night and day since Maguire and McTominey were dropped for Varane and Casemiro too. Huge upgrade.

You’ve just reminded me…was talking to a Man U fan in Dublin last year after the Scotland game and he said……Scotland and Man U will win nothing while they persevere with McTominay in the team.

No idea. But who u vote for is always some sort of compromise. You rarely get to vote for anyone whose views are 100% identical to yours.

What’s the story with Robertson not standing? He was my first thought last week. Always thought he spoke well but maybe yesterday’s man ?

The way things are going he could be a safe pair of hands for the next couple of years. Steady the ship after Sturgeon etc. Unless I’m missing something 🤷‍♂️

Come on Burnham, I love a freebie.

Actually I think the state paying for kids meals is a good idea, when I was a lad we got free milk, and lots of corporal punishment. Those were the days.

I vaguely remember the free milk. Was it Thatcher that put a stop to it ?

Personally I hated it. To this day I only take it in tea. Couldn’t drink a glass of milk 🤢

I get the point about the NHS, but I feel more strongly that is the government responsibility to fund health than (for those who can afford) meals.

Perhaps they think there is a link between proper meals, nutrition etc from a young age and the nations general health.

Both, but he is pretty much 5th choice central midfielder when every ones fit.

Good squad player, but he isn't getting near the bench when every one is fit.

👍 was lots of talk he’d move on. Probably away in the summer to somewhere he’ll get game time.

Casimero and Fred will be in there imo, all the rest picks itself.

Will be a tight game next week, defence is your strong point. I can't see you scoring more than 1 though.

Didn’t see the whole game put saw Mctominay coming on. Is he out of favour or has he been injured?

The game on Thursday was a cracker. Yer man has done a great job turning things round. Big week ahead.

Who determines a significant change in circumstances? That sounds quite vague.

It can’t be vague PT when a specific example is given within the post you quote 🤷‍♂️

I do not believe for a second that you personally don’t see exiting the eu as a significant change in circs 🤞

Ach, there's me thought you understood the distinction between an opinion and a commitment, Barry. I guess I was over estimating your intellectual ability.

And even if Eck had said "I solemnly promise there will be no further referendums for a Billion years" - he has absolutely no right to commit future governments to any such promise.

I think the vast majority of folk recognise that line as the standard attempt to get your vote out that it was.

That’s before we even consider the significance of the Brexit vote which again, most sensible punters see as a significant change in the political landscape.
Certainly more relevant than …..ah but Alex Salmond said…others will disagree 🤷‍♂️

Tories don't get votes in bristol either, and we don't vote 'fuck you nationalist' instead. Those nationalists want to cut your public spending by more than the tories, and also want to add to the damage of brexit by erecting borders with your biggest trading partner. It’s not smart to choose to be as stupid as a tory.

If Scotland was independent politically from rUK and every punter eligible to vote voted Labour, then Indy Scotland would have a Labour government. It’s not rocket science but we are where we are 👍

  11. Just now, Neil said:

fuck you nationalists, too, very similar.

It’s just that the Torys don’t get a lot of votes in the North. Very few Tory MPs sent down from Scotland but makes no difference in the grand scheme of Westminster as we know.

It’s late so don’t quote me on it but I think that if every punter living and eligible to vote in Scotland at the last election had voted Labour then you guessed it……they would have won a Tory Government. Same as it ever was.

Example before Kasabian is a big slot for him, but he's fairly high up on the poster I guess. Could see The Lathums headlining the new stage two and that bumps Example into sub.

Previous headliner if memory serves. Will do a decent job before Kasabian and the Young team will be up for it.

Not the most imaginative sub for 2023 but it will work.

  13. Goodbye poison dwarf, hello Russy 👋 A day full of surprises.

Sturgeon generally accepted to have nudged the game plan on to 50/50.

Russy and nasty Nic will be back to comment I hope when the day comes.

In the meantime, will Scotland get in line and vote Tory ? Douglas Ross as next FM 😳🤣

Agree. Watch the 'technical difficulties' have absolutely no bearing on when this ends whatsoever.

Guetta changed jacket and can’t find his memory stick.

Feel sorry for Mo Gilligan, some of these interviews with the artists are like getting blood from a stone

Is he still scheduled to flirt with Lizzo or did I miss it.
