Aerosmith in fairness.......would be amazing. Take them over Taylor 'broke up with yet another boyfriend so going to write 5 more shit albums' Swift
Did you create an account just to have a pop at Taylor?

Nick has to be a strong rumour with that

Don't worry, I'm on it. Whacking £50 on

Would like Aerosmith but only in the rock slot as mentioned earlier. Don't think they would take anything but headline
Not happy with Taylors odds dropping

There's an interview with Jarvis Cocker in Glastonbury 50 book. No mention of this years festival as far as I can tell but Pulp confirmed IMO

What would people say if I was to mention, Pearl Jam? Headliner? Huh huh?
Not many bands I want more than PJ

I would wager that by the Balance payment date, we would have had the 3 headliners.... so only another 167 days of this to go - ish. Not that long really
Day 165, we are still arguing if 1975 or foals are viable headliners, the only difference is we're on page 1580
-
Saw fatman scoop once. His set consisted of 30 seconds of a recent pop song, him telling the dj to stop so he could talk bollocks and then 30 seconds of another recent pop song. 2/10 - 2 awarded as I had a lot to drink making it slightly bearable
-
At time of posting it's 50/50 with 95 votes each.
I don't think we've settled this very well
-
For me 1975, coldplay and the foals on other as they shouldn't headline pyramid
Feel like I've typed this exact message before, we might be stuck in a loop here

Sounds like its time to get the mums out. Bands now require a 70% pass rate on this test.
Question is what counts as recognition? Just recognising the name? Being able to name a song/album from memory? Recognising a song when its played for them?
Very good point. My completely legitimate scientific experiment needs more work I think
To be honest I'd just take recognising the name
-
I like to base who can headline on what you think the response would be if you asked a random person in the street do you know who x band are
For example if I asked 10 random people in the street do you know the band foals I think only 3/10 would
If I asked do you know who the killers are I would expect around 9/10
For me a headliner should achieve 7/10 or more
Furthermore I have not put this into practice at all and I am probably completely wrong

What a hero. Happy Birthday Mike

It's tempting to move to Glastonbury just to take advantage of this

Elton, Taylor and a band of some sort is my prediction. Probably Coldplay. Not sure why Aerosmith have good odds but I'd definitely take them.
Quite happy for a poor headliner if santana is on WH at the same time though

Hmm. If I remember right I think it was about a bag and a half to a 70cl bottle. Again, do it it in stages until you get a flavour you like.
Bonus is no need to filter as they completely dissolve, so no sediment like you get with the Refreshers.
Last year I ran out of mixer so thought it would be a brilliant idea to put a couple of raspberry laces from a sweets stall in 50cl of vodka. It did not dissolve, it went quite lumpy and it tasted much worse than straight vodka. So if you do one thing at glasto, don't do that

There is no headliner that there wouldn't be complaints about. I'm not sure what the complaints against booking Elton would be but I guess I'd be happy to find out.
If Elton did play I'd expect a record attendance on the pyramid. There's not many artists who's setlist's are so bangertastic. For example
Bennie and the Jets
All the Girls Love Alice
I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues
Border Song
Tiny Dancer
Philadelphia Freedom
Indian Sunset
Rocket Man (I Think It's Going to Be a Long, Long Time)
Take Me to the Pilot
Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word
Someone Saved My Life Tonight
Levon
Candle in the Wind
Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding
Burn Down the Mission
Daniel
Believe
Sad Songs (Say So Much)
Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me
The Bitch Is Back
I'm Still Standing
Crocodile Rock
Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting
Encore:
Your Song
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
I mean wow, 90% of that would be superb glastonbury moments

Same place as the Billy Joel rumour
Thought I started the Billy Joel rumour
Elton and Taylor would both be massive massive headliners. Put whoever you want on the remaining day, would be hard to complain with that (although I'm sure people would still manage)
-
Would love this to happen but can't see it. His set at BST a couple years back was fantastic. Also the setlist was spot on, set 2 of dogs into pigs then a bunch off dark side and finishing with comfortably numb. What an hour of music
-
Didn't Drake sell out the o2 like 10 nights in a row at around £100 a ticket?
Kanye or Kendrick couldn't do those numbers
Side note. Drakes music is absolutely awful
