Just a question and obviously we all like different things but why do people like silent discos? I’ve done them before at festivals with more noise restrictions and less amplified music late at night but would you choose silent disco over actual sound systems?

late at night they very definitely fill a hole , not everyone is wanting the hugely busier  SEC and similar , Iconic sing along anthems bring something different , lift those headphones and look at the smiles around you . they just bring such fun , a few hours after seeing more live bands is brilliant either that or im happy seeking a bar or 2 with some cheese playing .

I'll take that as a compliment to my son, who is a Loo Crew Supervisor. I can't take any credit - I'll be on the water bars.

I've always enjoyed a short time at Glastonbury-on-Sea. The first year it was there I won a rosette at the bingo.

Yeah absolutely the crew do a magnificent job

Best chance of success for gate runners is to do it completely naked covered in goose fat.

Pretty much zero chance of security getting a grip on you.

Might be a bit obvious once on site with no wristbands to be seen 🙂

Not sure either as not worked there since 2005 when doing security.

This information was directly to GFEL as a member of the Gates Management Team.

I'd hazard as a guess they will be clamping down bit by bit as the years go by.

Good news though . Hopefully they’ll do something to adress the gate runners too . Seems to have been more a thing of late . Maybe due to the fact social media means it’s more out there though .

I uploaded my information for my accreditation and complete my online H&S induction last week.

I had to upload a photo as part of that process.

Not sure what areas this has become a new feature for yet but definately some clamping down

Have to admit I am surprised it’s taken this long to do that, a lot of tik tok videos last year showing people sneaking in, definitely would’ve lead to some changes this year. Would be absolute madness year on year otherwise

Yep it’s a very sensible idea and will have a significant impact I would think .

This is absolutely made for you 🙂 I won a competition judged by Emily and Michael a few years back and was absolutely stoked … prize was the Glastonbury 50 book signed by Emily and Michael . Wish it had been tickets though

  8. So it seems they are tightening up on crew passes and a photo needs to be submitted in areas where it wasn’t before  This will mean that they should be able to prevent many of the pass out ruses and will hopefully mean things are less busy . Not directly a site change but will impact getting about

They were playing their first 2 albums in full, green album followed by the brown album. Apologies if you already know, the brown album is one of the greatest electronic albums ever made.

yep my friend said I went with a couple of hardcore fans  . definitely worth the trip really enjoyed them

    Did you enjoy it?

yeah very good ... really hanging today mind , 2hr 15 set , including a 20 minute interval . like I said to you previous I didnt know a huge amount but the ticket came up the day before and was free . but now added to my list of possibilities for G . 7.45 start for anyone going if they stick to the set time of Exeter .  felt the second half picked up but maybe that was the alcohol

It won't be exactly the same crew - part of the original crew maybe.  There's a reason for the ending of the rabbit hole and it's not just to freshen things up.

Will see in June but I’d be very suprised if the theming isn’t broadly similar . Along with majority of the crew .

I'm no expert, but with my friends who are really into that music, they said last years line up completely smashed it.  As you say, be excellent for all of us if it continues to grow in popularity haha!

Sorry haven't been keeping up, are they replacing the rabbit hole with something bigger as well - that might draw more people? Arcadia growing too (I guess) is a good thing too, and will be a draw for people as it's new. So all in all, seems they're trying to address the problems!

rabbit hole is being replaced by something called the wishing well , run by the same crew , so I dont think the change will be massive

Yeah, I agree, even though the chances of there being anything I want to see there are slim, taking some of the strain seems important.

Rumours that Levels is going to be bigger this year, too.

looks to be a fair bit of space behind it .... maybe it can get pushed back a bit ?

I've just been having a nose around the 2023 image.  I was actually having a thought experiment on best route to use if I was going to attempt to go over the wall and I noticed the group of structures in the woods up by Strummerville/Worthy View off Cockmill Lane.  Google maps calls them Kings Hill Housing Complex.  Looks like some sort of commune, anyone know any more about it?
