Folk by the Oak 2011


Folk by the Oak is a one day folk festival, now in its fourth year, set in the grounds of Hatfield House in Herts on Sunday 24th July 2011. The event runs from 2pm until around 10pm.

Line-up

The acts confirmed are Seth Lakeman, Show of Hands, Drever, McCusker, Woomble with Heidi Talbot, Bella Hardy, Adrian Edmondson and the Bad Shepherds, Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman, and Tyde.

Other entertainment

In addition to the musical programme of contemporary folk and acoustic artists the family friendly event offers a craft fair, workshops, children's activities, storytelling, circus skills, real ale bar, music stalls, recycled gifts and a selection of tasty produce and a real ale bar on site.

Tickets

The early bird offer has ended. Tickets are priced at £33 or these can be purchased on the gate at £37 per adult. A child aged 5-15 years ticket is priced at £15 (age 4 and under are free, and do not require a ticket). A family offer of (2 adults and 2 children) is priced at £88. To buy tickets, click here.

Take a picnic

Festival goers are invited to bring a picnic, but for safety reasons no fires or barbecues are allowed. Refreshments and bar will be available. Seating and cover is not provided so chairs, tables, picnic blankets and umbrellas are all allowed. No dogs, other than guide dogs, can be admitted. This is a non-camping event.

Getting there

Hatfield train/tube station is just five minutes walk away, and there's ample free parking.
