Folk by the Oak is a new one day folk festival set in the grounds of Hatfield House in Herts on Sunday 26th July 2009. The event runs from 1.30pm until around 9.30pm.
The line-up is confirmed as Kate Rusby, Lau, Kathryn Tickell, Jim Moray, Karine Polwart, Chris Wood, and The Shee.
In addition to the musical programme there will be traditional fairgrounds side stalls, craft stalls, music stalls, craft tent, children's activities, recycled gifts and a selection of tasty produce and a real ale bar on site.
Tickets are on sale. Adult tickets are priced at £29; child (under 15 years) £14; and children under 5 admitted free. To buy tickets click here.
Festival goers are invited to bring a picnic, but for safety reasons no fires or barbecues are allowed. Hog roast and bar will be available. Seating and cover is not provided so chairs, tables, picnic blankets and umbrellas are all allowed. No dogs, other than guide dogs, can be admitted. This is a non-camping event.
