Folk by the Oak 2010


Folk by the Oak is a one day folk festival, now in its third year, set in the grounds of Hatfield House in Herts on Sunday 25th July 2010. The event runs from 1.30pm until around 9.30pm.

Line-up

Acts confirmed include Bellowhead, Michael McGoldrick And Friends, Jackie Oates, Mawkin:Causley, Emily Smith, Spiro, and Megson.

Other entertainment

In addition to the musical programme of contemporary folk and acoustic artists the family friendly event offers a craft fair, workshops, children's activities, storytelling, circus skills, real ale bar, music stalls, recycled gifts and a selection of tasty produce and a real ale bar on site.

Take a picnic

Festival goers are invited to bring a picnic, but for safety reasons no fires or barbecues are allowed. Refreshments and bar will be available. Seating and cover is not provided so chairs, tables, picnic blankets and umbrellas are all allowed. No dogs, other than guide dogs, can be admitted. This is a non-camping event.

Getting there

Hatfield train/tube station is just five minutes walk away, and there's ample free parking.
