Folk by the Oak is a new one day folk festival set in the grounds of Hatfield House in Herts on Sunday 27th July 2008. The event runs from 1.30pm until around 9.30pm.
The line-up is confirmed as Seth Lakeman, Cara Dillon, Julie Fowlis, Martin Simpson, Ruth Notman, Breabach, and Matthew Ord.
In addition to the musical programme there will be traditional fairgrounds side stalls, craft stalls, music stalls, recycled gifts and a selection of tasty produce on site.
Tickets are on sale. Adult ticket £26; child (under 16 years) £14; family ticket (2 adult + 2 child) £72; children under 5 admitted free. To buy tickets click here.
Festival goers are invited to bring a picnic, but for safety reasons no fires or barbecues are allowed. Hog roast and bar will be available. Seating and cover is not provided so chairs, tables, picnic blankets and umbrellas are all allowed. No dogs, other than guide dogs, can be admitted. This is a non-camping event.
