I do believe this is the 'official' route agreed in the traffic plan. A465 'Head of The Valleys' road then B4560 to Llangynidr. Take this route every year ... and look forward to it. If the weather is fair the views are gobsmacking!

I stay over at my mum's house at some point every week to make sure she's OK. She is very frail and clinically vulnerable. Covid may not kill me, but it is still dangerous to her. Covid is is so transmissible because is spreads before symptoms appear. So I am taking tests to help protect my mum. Caring for people you love. Empathy. Not being a dick. Does that explain why some people might still be 'part of the covid testing process?'

Sky report is bullshit. Just a lame attempt at manufacturing a headline. Experts have not 'warned of a fifth wave' (future tense). The number of cases was already growing at least a week before Glastonbury and you did not have to be a mathematical genius to see what was going to happen. The wave was already with us. Hardly a revelation. I saw the stats and decided to go.

@Neil Tups I can do two people down to the festival, but unfortunately I can only do one of them back to Sheffield, as I have already arranged to meet family members at Glasto and bring them back to Sheffield. So it's very messy logistically and why I can only offer 1 return space. If you only need a lift for two down there only then it's perfect...as long as we can set off at 6am.

I think it was worse than that ... much of that trackway never turned up at all. Within a short space of time many paths that should have been covered in trackway were churned up into a boggy mess. I seem to recall the journey from Gate A up to Paines was fairly perilous, even on Weds evening.

Indeed I have. The ticket is currently winging its way from Sheffield to See Tickets HQ in Nottingham and will thence be posted out to the correct address. Case solved. Fin. ✌️

UPDATE: See Tickets have got back to me and asked me to post the ticket back to them. Thanks for that e-mail address @StoneCircle ... it's not on their 'customer service' page...or at least I couldn't find it. Phew, I actually started to suffer vicarious panic on the ticket holder's behalf! It was really grinding my gears. Ticket anxiety is a thing! 😱

Yeah, I'm beginning to think digital tickets are the way forward. I suppose the problem in Glastonbury's case, is the photo ID requirement and how that would work digitally.

Yeah tried that number. Automatic message said 'Thankyou for contacting See Tickets. Please note the call centre has now closed down'

Exactly. I'm thinking because they've put a label over the original address, the address has changed. It's just they've put the wrong name and address on it. If I send to the original address, it might be going to entirely the wrong place. I have now sent an e-mail to glastonbury@seetickets.com. If I don't get a reply by tomorrow I'm tweeting See them and the festival.

Does anyone know how to talk to a real person at See Tickets? They sent me someone's else's ticket with my name and address on a label stuck over the actual ticket holders own address. Weird. Came at the same time as my ticket. Anyway, none of the options available on their (so-called) customer support site cover this scenario. No telephone number to ring. What a bag of shite. Feel sorry for the ticket holder.

Hi. Can offer lift for one person to the festival, for petrol share and £10 towards parking. I'm setting off bright and early on Weds 22nd. 6am. Yes, ouch, but I like to miss the worst of the rush hour before I reach A42/M42. Returning Monday 27th around 1pm. Have a space booked in Ashcombe Parking, which is relatively close to Gate D. 10-15 mins walk, depending on conditions. It's a newish car, with functioning air con (which is a novelty for me!), so it should be a comfy journey in all that incessant sunshine and 30c temps!!

On the night of the Brexit vote, 2016, I found myself...somewhat pissed and dishevelled...in some backstage bar in the SE corner. I seem to recall the bar was a bit kitsch. Unless I was hallucinating, I think there was leopard-skin patterned wall paper (or similar) and there was a small stage. Can anyone tell me where I was? Anyway, as anyone who who attended in 2016 will know, manoeuvring around any part of the site was problematic. More so, for those who are shit-faced. I seem to recall taking more than one tumble, on the way back home. I woke up at some horribly early hour of the morning, with an aneurysm of a hangover, to the words "Oh no, we've left the EU" ringing out from a nearby tent. I was amazed I'd found my way back to my berth at the top of South Park 1 and wondered if the vague memories of my foray into the backstage world were but a dream. They weren't...but where the hell did I get to? It's been a niggling question ever since.

There was me thinking it was a front for some web cam engineers. I think I'll just about be able to live with that, as the guys running the Twitter account seem to be acting without malice, bless 'em.
