  1. 2019 Stage Predictions

I was wondering about this the other day. Auberbach's on a solo tour atm but hopefully they get back to the studio after that. https://www.spin.com/2017/10/dan-auerbach-2018-tour-dates/
  2. Benicassim (FIB) 2018

2003, haha. They're synth-pop legends from the 80s, so naturally their Spotify listeners are lower. The Smiths, the biggest band of that era, also have less monthly listeners than the The Kooks and Two Door. The Rolling Stones have 1/3 of the monthly listeners of Imagine Dragons! It's a fairly useless metric - you'll find many (if not every!) festival lineups with headliners with less monthly listeners than the undercard. PSB are significantly bigger than the acts you've mentioned. Having said that, I do agree that Beni isn't the best place for them. I was also quite surprised and I don't think their crowd will be huge. Will be interesting to see who they put against them. It could easily be someone like Wolf Alice on the VISA stage who I think could pull a huge crowd vs PSB.

Always very unlikely. Looks like they're very much focusing on breaking the US this summer.
  4. Lineup 2018

Given this is where I saw the gender debate kicking off the most, it seemed the most suitable place to post this: http://smirnoffequalizer.com/ It's a tool to show you what % of your Spotify streams are by male vs female artists and to promote female artists. http://www.thedrum.com/news/2018/03/02/marketing-s-changemakers-smirnoff-rolls-out-equalizer-tool-spotify-promote-women Interesting idea.
  5. The National

That would be an absolutely mental decision, surely no chance.
  6. Mad Cool 2018

Na, this is just the poster in a different format on the website isn't it? It wouldn't fit with the info from Bar Tool on number of acts on each stage, nor the info on electronic tent headliners (nor the placement of electronic artists in general).
  7. Bon Iver 2017

Two of my favourite bands but even for me, that would be tragic. I think Other stage if it happens but I feel like 2017 was the year (for a while). Can't see them being too active in 2019 at this stage, would love to be wrong though, of course.
  8. Lineup 2018

If anyone returns saying something like "Do you think Arctic Monkeys will be added?" please quote this. http://www.radiox.co.uk/artists/arctic-monkeys/reading-leeds-boss-arctic-monkeys-show-plans/ *although admittedly it won't get rid of the secret set hopers
  9. Bon Iver 2017

Yeah, I was saying this straight after the gig too. Would've been perfect for the Sunday night. 22, a million tracks went down brilliantly, I thought. I love the album and I know it wasn't as well received when released as the others had been but I heard a lot of people saying after the gig how pleasantly surprised they were by how good those tracks were live. Holocene, The Wolves (fantastic singalong was unexpected for me) and Over Soon were my highlights. Really special gig. Everyone going to the remaining shows - enjoy!
  10. Lineup 2018

Pretty bold thing to say with the criticism about them not booking Royal Blood too, haha.
  11. Bon Iver 2017

What time did it end please? Was it 90 mins of Bon Iver as per the set times?
  12. Lineup 2018

And to think we all thought them subbing on the Pyramid was tough for them...
  13. Lineup 2018

That is the strangest festival line up I've ever seen.
  14. Benicassim (FIB) 2018

The 1975 aren't playing festivals this year, one of the band tweeted it (and someone put it in the Reading thread). They're one of the favourites for Glastonbury next year so I assume they've got an album on the way late this year/early next (I think they're awful so haven't followed the timings). I reckon the Kooks are quite likely though and after the Reading announcement, I guess KoL can't be ruled out - you'd think they'd announce very soon if it's them
  15. Lineup 2018

Knowledge or speculation? Would this also apply to outside the UK? (Thinking of Mad Cool)
