Going alone?

Hi, I've been wanting to go to IOW festival for 2 years now! Last year some of my friends said that they will finally come with me this year, but when I asked them again they have all changed their minds. I don't want to keep missing each year so was thinking of going alone? I'm very nervous of this as I might not have as good a time alone, is it easy to meet and hang out with new people there? I just want to enjoy the weekend with like minded people, not spend it alone in my tent as people are having fun with their friends!

This year will be my first year at iow festival but i have been to other festivals and everyone seems nice. obviously there will be a few dicks trying to impress, but yeah why not go by your self im sure you will be fine, meet some people ect

I went solo to IoW last year & met up with some people through Meetup - worked so well I'm planning on doing it again this year. Do get in touch

Nice one Tom.....I've requested to join......I'm really tempted to get a ticket but like everyone else, I'd be going solo so would like to meet up with peeps.......I'd have to camp so would prefer to camp near people I'm kinda familiar with!

Well.... Where do I start!!! So my boyfriend of 1 and a half years dumped me yesterday and we were meant to be going to Isle of Wight Festival. We have a ferry booked from Southampton to East Cowes. So need to change that somehow along with the car park ticket. Any advise? Meeting up will be fun!!
