Campervan availability?!

Thanks. Yeah - think Im alright on the license - its the length thats the issue (fnar fnar). Its 8.1 mtrs which is longer than the pitch length of 8m. Have had a response from Glastonbury Fest who suggested I get a second ticket and change to Campervan East (which I was going to do). Unfortunately they've now sold out as well. Seetickets were helpful enough - but basically said its up to me whether I risk the extra length. Which I am tempted to do - except I really dont want to pole up in June and get turned away for being 10 cms too long. Not having done this before I'm not clear about how exacting they are.

What do caravan folk do? Assume they buy 2 tickets?

We have used the CV fields last few years, never saw any measuring of vehicles. They were interested in tickets and glass containers on board. Each time when we have parked up we were asked if we wanted room beside us to pitch a tent/awning. Mind you i was not driving a 8m motor.

What you should be considering is the driving of it on the roads. If your only used to car driving then this will be fun, not only the length but the width. Those nice Somerset country roads are going to feel mighty small .

If you can, ask for a taster drive so its not such a shock on the day of the festival. Their easy to drive but you just need a new sense of width perception.

Enjoy...........and don't lose the keys :banghead:
