This will be our first time at V festival! It's only me and my other half going, so hoping to meet some friendly people in the campsite - we're in the yellow camp - anybody have any opinions about where is best to camp? We don't want to end up next to huge groups of chavvies!

Also, what time would you recommend arriving at the festival? We don't want to get there so late that we end up by smelly toilets or something!

I saw a map of the festival on the website, and was also wondering how they work the carparks? There are 3 yellow car parks, car park 3 being closest to the campsite by the looks of it. Do you get to choose where to park if you get there early, or do you basically have to go where the stewards tell you to - even if it's miles away from the entrance?

Any advice would be appreciated! =)

Dont camp near the toilets but not too far from them.

It's probably down to bad luck if you get stuck near dickheads. You're just going to have to judge by looks. If you think they look like idiots don't camp near them.

I usually go around 11-1pm

Probably the earlier you get there the closer you park. We were pretty close to the campsite in yellow last year.

Yea, i thought would just come down to judging people, but thought maybe there was an unwritten rule that the rowdy ones twnd to camp in a certain area. I wouldn't want to be in the quiet zone, but wouldn't want to be kept up all night either.

Thanks for your advice. Good to know that I won't have to necessarily get there ridiculously early, lol.

    • 1 - Mock Media - Rat Bastard 2 - Maquina - Body Transmission 3 - Mary in the Junkyard - Role Model Hermit   Honourable mentions to The Hu - Hun, Madonna - Confessions II, and Swapmeet - Mount Zero for also being solid.   Sadly, really didn't connect with the new Yard Act, a real shame as loved their last two albums and thought this one would be a shoe-in for AOTM, but felt it was a bit too generic..
    • Anyone had email yet?
    • See him doing either wilderness or the forest live shows more
    • I always fancied going to this one - it had my sort of lineup. Shame.
