I have Pinnalce Studio 11, which is driving me mad. I have made some reasonable dvd's from it, but it's very temperamental. Sometimes it works, and as often as not it doesn't....

They used to have a live-chat help facility, which I tried out yesterday, but the response I recieved was simply that I don't have the latest version (it's up to Studio 14 now... i think), and their advice was pay for an upgrade. I looked into that, but the upgrade is more than the original package cost, sooooo

rather than throw any more money at a product that was never that reliable at the best of times, I'm looking into buying a new package.

Which? says that Cyberlink is one of the best, but I've never heard of it. Any one else had any experience of it?

or any other packages... around the £50-£60 mark

my conclusion with Pinnacle is that, with it being a sub-division/domestic part (?) of Avid, who do some of the most sophisticated professional software going (as far as I'm aware), they've tried to make it too good, like a half-way house to being able to make an almost professional film on your pc, and have somehow failed.

And then download the tutorials to work out how the hell to use half of it - I've had it for years and find it too complex. I actually started on the Dazzle/Pinnacle studio 1 - and spent hours emailing them with complaints and suggestions for version 2.

    • Judging by last night at Wembley, Luke Combs should be in the conversation of headliner. The UK is having a moment with country music so I don't think it would be particularly left field either.
    • Just listed on Twickets
    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
    • I have a spare campervan pass to get rid of.  unable to use Kaboodle as it is only entry that they re-sell
