Gas Stoves

Right - I hear that gas stoves are not allowed. Now I can't be arsed pissing around with BBQ's, so am I likely to get caught with a small gas stove that requires 1 small can of Butane?

Possibly yes. They do search your bags when you go in yes, But we had someone with us last year who brought one in.

Get a meth stove. They are very compact, light very quickly and your allowed them :-)

Just had a look on You Tube and and they look so easy to use!!

The security folks will either take it off you or kick you out if they catch you with it? If you are willing to take that risk, then go for it. If not, get a hexistove its basically the same thing!

I've got a hexi-stove and going buying my new billycan from the Army and Navy store this weekend. Gonna get a billymug as well so I can have brews. Yeah! I love the Army and Navy store.

All the gas stoves I saw on Thursday last year had been confiscated by Thursday night/Friday morning, people were only chucked out if they kicked off about it. The gas stoves are quite easy to spot in camp tbh, and I woudn't bother. A lot of people are very happy with the hexi stoves, quite a few prefer them to the gas stoves and are saying they're lighter, cheaper and easier to use.

I used something different and still prefer the gas but so long as I get my tea in the morning I'm happy.
