anyone else notice this at leeds?

i saw a 17 year old get put in a headlock and strangled by one security guy, with 3 others standing next to him doing nothing.

yes the boy had shouted something at him but he was blind drunk and innocent enough.

it scared me that i couldn't trust security for the rest of the night when everyone was running riot.

I saw 3 security guards chase a lad down to the floor, cut off his band and sat on him waiting for back-up to arrive. This was outside the Lock-Up at Leeds. We were told he 'touched a girl up' but his mate was arguing the toss with security, so I don'y know exactly what happened. Anyway, it ended his festival.

I used to think security were a bunch of over-reacting w*nkers but I saw them do a lot of good this year; both helping people out and chucking out little pricks from the campsite. They've got a really hard job to do and I have a lot more respect for them after this year.

I thought security was pretty good this year! A friendly Scottish lady helped me out with loads of plasters and bandages from the caravan by some toilets, the guys patrolling our area were sound and were really chilled about us packing up and leaving and they quickly dealt with some scavenging clarts on the monday and kicked them out too!

Saw them chasing some guys who were wrecking the loos on Sunday too and they dealt with them well - in fact I have mobile footage to prove this lol!

If people weren't dicks the security would be safe to them (for the most part). I didn't feel intimidated by any security this year.

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
