[Southern Shandy]

My 2005 Eldsis Cyclone Motorhome has been stolen.

It was taken from a 'secure' caravan garage (they also sell vans and motorhomes) some time on Monday night/Tuesday morning.

Based on that, I might have to sell my 4 tickets and van pass.

The police reckon it was stolen to order and it is probably already out of the country. My insurers won't pay out until they've spoken to the garages insurers - this could take several months.

Well, that completely buggers up V then. (unless any of you know where I can rent a cheap 4 berth van? I'm happy with left or right-hand drive)

I'm really annoyed, I've just spent close to a grand on a service.

really sorry to hear whats happened but have you considered camping? You would then just have to sell the campervan pass and at least the ejits havent completley ruined your weekend?

i i were you i'd get a couple o cheap tents and camp, as heavenly sai dont let them ruin your weekend completely... you could even join the e-fests camp

Sorry to hear about your misfortune the only help/advice I can offer is to try ebay for a cheap caravan

According the the V website there is a defined disabled camping area which I would assume has facilities that can accommodate most people with a disability.

Might be worth investigating the camping further and what the defined camping area has?

That's what I'd suggest too.

maybe you could buy a cheap(ish) caravan off ebay or something? you would be able to pick one up for a few hundred quid, and then sell it on again afterwards - you wouldn't lose that much money, if any...

The only potential problem would be that you would need a tow bar on your car...
