Hey guys, new here....we’re doing CF for the first time this b/holiday so thought this would be a good place to pick up a few tips. etc. :P

I’ve read a few places that own food/booze can only be consumed on the campsite & not event site. How strict are these rules?? We don’t want to carry a full crate onto the event site, but think a few are after maybe putting a few cans & munchies in a bag to carry around. Any advice??

Although I don't camp, as far as I could tell last year the campers were subject to the same searches etc as the non campers and these are pretty strict. Unfortunately I doubt you'll get any booze or food past them. Best bet is to eat plenty and have a few beers before you go in to the Arena. You can then pay a visit back to your tent later on if you need more food. To be honest food and drink are not my number one priority once I get to a certain time :D Besides, less to come back up if the fairground rides don't agree with you!!

Yeah, had a feeling the rules would be pretty tight. Cheers anyways, just means we’ll stock up on a few things & keep in the cooler most prob. Is it right everything kicks off at 3pm on the Sat?? If that’s the case, think we might make sure we’re all set up by 12ish, then chill & have a few drinks before heading into the arena – as that’s for sure gonna be a mental time!
