Shopping threads

Suppose I might be a bit early with this but I was making up my own wee shopping list this morning and was wondering if anyone's got any good links yet. Had a wee look for some stuff I might pick-up from Joe Banana's but has anyone got any links for good, cheap camping websites etc.? I've already got my tent/sleeping bag and stuff. My shopping list at the minute looks like this:

- An old mobile phone

- Bin bags

- Body wipes

- Booze

- Chairs

- Disposable urinals

- Duck tape

- Firelighters

- Hayfever stuff

- Head torch!!

- Lots of chewing gum

- Lots of facewipes

- Lots of highland papers

- Mini LED torch thing

- Mouthwash

- Painkillers

- Radio

- Some kind of battery/solar mobile charger, or spare mobile batteries

- Stuff from Everyone Does It

- Sun cream

- Toilet rolls

- Torch

- Trolley for carrying stuff?

- Walking boots?

I have links for a few of these things from other threads but anymore gems would be appreciated.

I bought a solar powered phone charger, it was ok but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be or need it to be so I've sent it back. Found spare phone batteries for my Erissson K810i on ebay for £3.99 each with free postage so got 2 of those instead, cheaper than the solar powered charger.

I'd also highly recommend a micro fibre towel, it's only the size of a pack of biscuits rolled up but is the same size as a bath towel and is really light. It dries out really quickly too. http://www.mountainwarehouse.com/Travel_Tr...345/p13479.aspx

I love Moutain Warehouse, I got my towel, mummy bag and wellies from there, they have guides for the products and have lots of offers and clearance items.

We've been doing a bit of research recently on portable toilets, and have found the following for number 1's and 2's:

Although this looks like it could be a winner - the bag is biodegradable so could just be lobbed in the longdrops:

... just for those unlucky moments late at night in the tent you understand! B)

Anybody got any tips for walking boots?

Last few years I've made do with wellies and if it's dry, trainers. Wouldn't mind some walking boots though I've been baulking at the prices I've come across so far (though I did expect as much). Any decent ones for cheap that anyone knows about? Or decent websites/shops where I'm likely to find cheap ones that are half decent?

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
